SFHS would like our fans to help support the New Hampton Chickasaw food drive at our basketball games in New Hampton on Saturday.

Bank Iowa Student-Athletes of the Week: Jamie Jones and Gavin Trask
Jamie reached a huge milestone this past week, earning her 100th career win and becoming just the third Lady Cougar in program history to accomplish the feat! She is currently 12–4 on the season and ranked 11th at 155 pounds in Class 1A. "Jamie continues to evolve into a force on the mat. Her grit, work ethic, and determination are contagious, and her leadership helps elevate the success of everyone on the team." - Coach Jones
Gavin Trask has had a strong week for the Cougars, averaging 18 points and 10.5 rebounds per game over the last two games. "He has become more physical and aggressive on both ends of the basketball court. Gavin is an extremely coachable player who works hard every day and looks to improve in all areas. He has a team-first mindset and is willing to do whatever he can to help his team. As Gavin continues to grow and develop, teams will need to focus their defensive game plans around him." - Coach Quigley

Basketball games at Gladbrook-Reinbeck tonight:
Varsity girls basketball will play at 4:45 PM, followed by varsity boys at approximately 6:15 PM. There will be NO JV games tonight. JV & 9–10 boys players are welcome to travel if they choose. Bus time for all groups is 2:20 PM (one bus only).
Girls wrestling at Waverly-Shell Rock is as scheduled at this time.
We will provide updates if anything changes.

“Emery turned in a personal best score of 192 at Tripoli, continuing to elevate her game every meet. She also currently holds the high season series for both teams, highlighting her consistency, focus, and competitive drive.” - Coach Skoda
Senior wrestler Ryder Larson has had a great start on the mat this year, he is currently 4-1 on the season and captured the 144 pound title at the Guilford Invitational this Saturday at Monticello. “Ryder has been a leader on and off the mat for the Cougar wrestlers this year. He has a strong work ethic and is very supportive and encouraging to our young team.” -Coach Meyer
