Bank Iowa Student-Athlete of the Week: Taylor Harrold

Taylor works hard, puts in the extra time, and shows a desire to improve. He brings effort in every drill in practice and shows steady gains in his skills and the understanding of the game. "He is very coachable, he listens, adjusts, and applies the coaching right away. " - Coach Quigley

Another strong week for our Cougar athletes! The effort, focus, and improvement is awesome to watch. Even with all the hard work, we didn’t let the week turn “upside down" for our Cougars with our practices, games, late-nights and early mornings these kids keep pushing themselves and working toward their goals.

The middle school and high school Hope Squad members gathered today to learn about building community, managing stress, and each other!  Thanks to all who helped make this retreat a great opportunity to come together to make a difference!

The annual Post Prom Cake Auction fundraiser is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd, in the SFHS Student Center during the basketball games. Come and bid on delicious, expertly decorated cakes generously donated by our community members and students. Bidding officially begins at 5:00 PM and ends during the third quarter of the boys' varsity game. All proceeds directly fund the Post Prom celebration, providing a safe and memorable evening for our prom goers. Bring your appetite and your wallets—let's help make this year's Post Prom the best one yet!

Attention 5th & 6th Grade Parents: It's time for the 15th season of the Sumner-Fredericksburg Elite Basketball Club! This program is open to all 5th & 6th-grade boys and girls in the SF school district.

Key Season Details:
Who: All SF 5th & 6th Grade Boys & Girls
League: South Winn Rec Department Youth League
Game Dates: Saturdays, January 10th – February 14th, 2026
Practices: Set at the discretion of volunteer coaches.

Registration & Fees:
Standard Fee: $60 for one player ($90 for two or more).
Discounted Fee: If your child participated in the Fall Basketball Clinic, the fee will be reduced
Payment: Make payable to SUMNER-FREDERICKSBURG BASKETBALL
