The conclusion of fall sports at SFHS

Our Cougar Girls Cross Country team will arrive back in town around 8:15 p.m. They’ll take a well-deserved victory lap with the fire trucks, followed by ringing the victory bell at the high school. Afterwards, everyone is invited to join the celebration at the Country Club.

Run, Cougars, run!
Back in Dodge, our runners didn’t just chase medals- they chased memories, milestones, and moments that define what it means to be a team. They ran like champions today picking up a 2nd place trophy, the finish line was earned with sweat, support, and Cougar pride.
Coach Jones and this incredible group led with their heart, passion, and belief all season showing what true leadership and commitment look like from start to finish.
The miles may be over, but the legacy of this team lives on. When you’ve got Coach Jones, Coach Wright, and the right runners… you get the right team with the Wright dream.

A big Cougar thank you goes out to Ryan and Jamie Steege for stepping up to sponsor the livestream of our regional final volleyball match last night. Their generosity made it possible for fans, families, and alumni who couldn’t attend in person to still be part of the volleyball action. We’re grateful for your contribution and everything you do for Cougar students.
Thank You, Jamie and Ryan Steege!

What a fantastic season for Cougar Volleyball.
Though the Cougars fell short in the regional final, they never stopped fighting, representing Sumner-Fredericksburg with pride and class. The girls demonstrated teamwork, resilience, and commitment all season long.
Congratulations on an exciting and successful season! #CougarPride

Bank Iowa Student-Athletes of the Week: Jamie Jones & Chase Peyton
“Jamie has been a strong leader for our volleyball team, always giving 100% and setting a great example for teammates. She brings energy, focus, and teamwork to every practice and game. Recently Jamie achieved 500 career digs this season! We’re proud of her hard work, leadership, and dedication both on and off the court.” - Coach Nuss
"Chase came into the season with an open mind, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to trust the process. He more than delivered! Throughout the year, he cut significant time off of his performances but also grew as both an athlete and a person. His quiet confidence and humble leadership set the tone for our team, showing what commitment and perseverance look like. We’re incredibly proud of Chase’s growth, determination, and the example he’s set for others. We can’t wait to see what next season holds for him and his teammates!" - Coach Jones
