Bank Iowa Student-Athletes of the Week: Elle Wedemeier, Brooklyn Fayer & Jaci Snyder
"Elle is a cornerstone of the back row for SF Volleyball in her role as defensive specialist. She has consistently demonstrated elite defensive skills, hustle, and focus. Her ability to read hitters, make clutch saves, and keep rallies alive has made her one of the most reliable and respected players on the court for the Cougars. She brings heart, grit, and leadership to every single practice and game. In our Regional Final game, she had 20 digs against Regina and was getting every ball up that was hit toward her direction." -Coach Nuss
“Jaci has elevated her performance during the second half of the season. Her growth in both her physical and mental confidence has been a driving force behind our postseason success. Jaci’s determination and belief in her training have allowed her to be able to dig deep when the races get tough. She embodies what it means to be a Cougar- competing with heart, grit, and pride for both herself and her teammates.” - Coach Jones
“Brooklyn has made tremendous strides this season and has become a key contributor to our team’s postseason success. Her confidence and strength have grown with every race, and she is resilient under pressure. Brooklyn’s commitment to pushing through challenges and running for her teammates, not just herself, represents the Cougar spirit of toughness, unity, and perseverance that Cougar XC is all about.” - Coach Jones

Our Cougar Girls Cross Country team will arrive back in town around 8:15 p.m. They’ll take a well-deserved victory lap with the fire trucks, followed by ringing the victory bell at the high school. Afterwards, everyone is invited to join the celebration at the Country Club.

Run, Cougars, run!
Back in Dodge, our runners didn’t just chase medals- they chased memories, milestones, and moments that define what it means to be a team. They ran like champions today picking up a 2nd place trophy, the finish line was earned with sweat, support, and Cougar pride.
Coach Jones and this incredible group led with their heart, passion, and belief all season showing what true leadership and commitment look like from start to finish.
The miles may be over, but the legacy of this team lives on. When you’ve got Coach Jones, Coach Wright, and the right runners… you get the right team with the Wright dream.

A big Cougar thank you goes out to Ryan and Jamie Steege for stepping up to sponsor the livestream of our regional final volleyball match last night. Their generosity made it possible for fans, families, and alumni who couldn’t attend in person to still be part of the volleyball action. We’re grateful for your contribution and everything you do for Cougar students.
Thank You, Jamie and Ryan Steege!

What a fantastic season for Cougar Volleyball.
Though the Cougars fell short in the regional final, they never stopped fighting, representing Sumner-Fredericksburg with pride and class. The girls demonstrated teamwork, resilience, and commitment all season long.
Congratulations on an exciting and successful season! #CougarPride
