"Chloe Bolte continues to help push the Cougars forward. Chloe’s leadership has contributed to the team’s success this season. She recently captured her fourth consecutive conference championship. In the past five 18 hole events, Chloe has scored a total of 11 under par. Her work ethic and passion for the game is unmatched. We are proud to call her a Cougar!" -Coach Krueger
"Kallen threw a school record of 160' in the discus at the State Qualifying Meet at Cresco. Kallen has worked hard to get to this point in his career. A state berth in the discus is an accumulation of hard work, a positive attitude and being an extremely coachable 4-sport athlete. Kallen is an "old school" small school athlete who embraced his leadership role on every team he participated in at SFHS. His leadership was important to the success of our Track and Field team as well as the football, basketball and baseball programs." -Coach Leete

Sumner Fredericksburg Student-Athlete of the Week: Braelyn Suckow & Noah Henderson
"Braelyn broke the school record in the 200 Meters at the NICL Mega Meet, running a time of 26.04 to win the 200 Meter Championship at the conference meet. She surpassed the previous record of 26.17, set by Krayton Allen in 2018. In addition to her individual success, Braelyn anchors the 4x200 and 4x100 Relays and also competes on the Sprint Medley Relay. At the conference meet, the 4x200 placed 3rd, the Sprint Medley finished 5th, and the 4x100 came in 6th." -Coach Leete
"Noah is a four-year letter winner on the Boys Track and Field team. He has been a key contributor on multiple relay teams. This season, Noah runs the lead-off leg for the 4x200, 4x400, and Sprint Medley Relays. At the conference meet, the 4x400 relay placed 3rd, the 4x200 placed 4th, and the Sprint Medley finished 6th. All three relay teams recorded their season-best times at the conference meet and are well-positioned heading into next week's State Qualifying Meet in Cresco. Go Cougs!" -Coach Leete

May 15, 2025 Boys/Girls High School Track Class 2A State Qualifying Meet @ Crestwood information: Admission is $6.00 for K-12 students and adults. NO CASH SALES AT THE GATE. All tickets must be purchased through the IHSAA or IGHSAU websites: https://www.iahsaa.org/tickets
The only fan entrance is located on the North side of the Track nearest the parking lot. Fans paying with debit/credit cards need to use the main admissions gate.
The NICL Mega Conference Track Meet in Jesup will be $7 CASH ONLY at the gate tonight. Field Events start at 3 pm with running events starting at 4 pm. GO COUGARS!
