The best volleyball in the State of Iowa will be played at Sumner-Fred this Tuesday. Dike-NH and Grundy Center will join the Cougars for a triangular battle in Sumner starting at 5 PM. Go Cougars!

This week activities at the MS-Tuesday Sept 12 VB 7/8 grades both start at 4:15 at Denver Cyclone Center. Thursday Sept 14 FB hosts Denver at Staker Complex in F’burg-7/8 mix grades play at 4:15. They will only play 5qtrs.

The Cross Country team had a blast Friday at practice, exploring Sumner while competing in a scavenger hunt around town. The coaches were the real winners, just by having an exceptional group of young men and women. Go Cougars!

Cougars ran tough tonight in a very stout meet at NFV. Almost all runners either ran personal records or season bests tonight. Way to go Cougs!! The boys team finished 4th as a team out of 12! PR's across the board!! Most girls were also able to run PR’s and leading the pack with another broken school record, was Hillary Trainor winning tonight in 18:36.2. Also medaling with another PR of her own was Rylee Shonka placing 14th. The lady Cougars also finished with a strong 3rd place as a team. Go Cougars!
