VB-Home game w/Cresco today-both starting at 4:15, Thur home game w/Oelwein both starting at 4:15-8th WILL NOW be playing in F'burg.
FB-Thur game at Oelwein with 8th playing first at 4:15 followed by 7th grade-two full games.
XC-Tues Oct 3 at DNH girls start at 4:15 & boys at 4:30, Thur Oct 5 at F'burg Plum Creek Golf Course-both girls & boys start at 4:15pm
FES has Reading Buddies twice a month.

SFHS Student-Athlete of the Week: Teagan Bergmann & Harrison Pagel. Teagan has been a terrific Senior leader for the Cheer squad this Fall. Harrison is a positive teammate, he cares about the team first and works hard for team success! Congratulations Teagan and Harrison!

FES also recognizes STAR Cougars at the Cougar Way Assembly. STAR Cougars are students who show the Cougar Way everyday of the month. This year, STAR Cougars get light-up glasses and get to walk the red carpet. Teachers line the red carpet like paparazzi taking their pictures. Congratulations to our September STAR Cougars! You make us PROUD!
Thank you to all the dads who came to our Dads and Donuts event for kindergarten students at Fredericksburg Elementary!
FES had their Cougar Way Assembly last week. In the skit, a wild animal from the cat family was outside of the school. Teachers got the animal into a crate. It was too wild to be a Cougar, so we had a ZOOM meeting with Mrs. Erica Harris to see if Tripoli was missing a Panther. She said no, but she also suggested that FES students teach this wild cat the Cougar Way. Stay tuned to see if FES students can tame this wild animal! We also celebrated September birthdays.
Elementary Homecoming Dress Up Days 2023
JV football Monday at 6 PM.
Cougar Cross Country will run at Dike-NH Tuesday. Go Cougars!
Cougar varsity boys win the Cresco meet by 3 points over Cresco! Medaling for the Cougars were Tate Rochford (5th), Westin Osborn (6th), Easton Wurzer (8th), Trey Smith (11th), Lane Converse (13th), and Brennen Blake (14th).
The varsity girls placed 2nd by 2 points behind South Winn. Medaling for the lady Cougars were Hillary Trainor (1st), Sophie Boehmler (11th), Ella Pitz (13th), Jaci Snyder (14th), and Jana Meyer (15th).
The JV girls also won today! Way to go Cougars!!
