Last Friday, Durant students had their first ENCORE of the year. During ENCORE, students and staff celebrated August and September birthdays, recognized Super Cougars, and took part in their first Cougar Den challenge. The orange Cougar Den of Respect earned 15 points as a result of its team members taking 1st and 2nd in the challenge! Take a look at the updated Cougar Den points so far this quarter! It is exciting to see our students working hard to follow the Cougar Way!
Since the students in 4A couldn't hold their signs for the homecoming parade, we decided to take a picture to cheer on all of the upcoming events during these next few weeks. Good luck to all competing teams! Cougar Victory!
Durant's 4A class also had the pleasure of spending time with a special guest on Tuesday. Mrs. Njus's mom brought her puppy, Max, for the students to meet. Meeting this sweet little guy was such a treat!
MS activities this week Sept 17 & Sept 19.
Tues-7th/8th VB takes on Denver at home starting at 4:15 in both gyms. XC travels to Starmont starting at 4pm.
Thur-8th/7th FB at Denver starting with 8th grade at 4:15 followed by 7th grade game. VB travels to Turkey Valley with 7th grade playing first at 4:15 followed by 8th grade.

SFHS Student-Athletes of the Week: Addi Murray and Westin Osborn. “Addi continues to showcase her dominance on the court, especially at the net. She leads the team in blocks and is becoming a significant offensive force, with a powerful attack that has proven difficult for opponents. Her presence at the net is growing more threatening with each match, and she’s only scratched the surface of her potential. Her best is yet to come!” –Coach Buhman “Westin exemplifies hard work and dedication on and off the field. He’s a student-athlete who has consistently put in the effort, earned the respect of his teammates, and leads by example. FES would like to thank Mrs. Bullerman and the Middle School Staff for all of their hard work planning and organizing activity stations for our students this morning. The 8th Graders did a great job leading the stations , and our students had a blast!
The morning preschool class spotted the Cougar walking outside of their classroom and got a picture with him. The afternoon preschool class is showing off their cool Cougar paw tattoos.
