Chase Redfern, a proud graduate of Sumner-Fredericksburg High School Class of 2021, played a leading role in the funeral procession that transported President Carter to the Capitol. Serving as a member of the distinguished Caisson Platoon, Chase is prominently positioned front-right on horseback. This remarkable achievement reflects not only Chase's dedication and professionalism but also the high standards of the regiment. We are incredibly proud of Chase for representing our community with such honor and distinction. For more information about the Caisson Platoon and its traditions, you can visit their official page. https://jtfncr.mdw.army.mil/Caisson-Detachment/

FES had its December Cougar Way Assembly today. In the skit, Dorothy and Scarecrow decided to go to the North Pole and ask Santa for help instead of Emerald City because it was closer. The RESPECT pillar was broken at the North Pole when the reindeer started making fun of Rudolph's nose. Santa told Dorothy and Scarecrow that Christmas isn't about how good you are at math or getting new shoes, it's about being with your family. Santa told them to go home because "There's No Place Like Home for Christmas." You can watch our Christmas skit at the following link: https://youtu.be/Po_bJ84Tbyg
