We will be dismissing all buildings today 1 hour early due to the icy weather coming our way. There will be no evening practices/activities and no DLT meeting after school.
Our goal is to get buses off the roads and back home by 4:00.

Oelwein will be taking cash at the gate for the Cougar basketball games tonight.
Basketball information for today at Oelwein: 4:00 PM JV Girls (2Q), 4:30 JV boys (2Q), 9-10 boys to follow immediately. 6:15 PM Varsity Girls at Oelwein High School with Varsity Boys to follow. All games will now be at the Oelwein High School. Tickets are available online via Bound.
On Friday, we announced the winners of our 2nd quarter of the ReadBowl. The top class was once again 7th Grade Literature Class 2! They read an average of 345 minutes per student. They only beat the second place class by 7 minutes per student. Our top readers were Lucille Kleiss, Orion Lentz, Theo Johnson, and Jayden Haverkamp. We are starting our last week of the ReadBowl. Please encourage your child to read.
Student-Athlete of the Week: Kinnick Gordon
"Kinnick does a lot of the little things that make a big difference for our basketball team. He fills up the stat sheet across multiple categories and has good basketball awareness. The students in Mr. Nuss' 6th grade health class took advantage of 58 degree weather in January to get 30 minutes of exercise in at City Park!
Here's an art class favorite. 4th Grade students enjoyed the paper mache donut creating process. During the lesson they discussed Andy Warhol and pop art. Thanks Mrs. Owen!
