FES had their Cougar Way Assembly. In the skit, Grandpa and Grandma had their grandkids over for Christmas. They took a family picture and played a reindeer game with Grandpa. When they went to bed, the Wild Thing got out of its crate and stole all the Christmas decorations and presents! Grandpa and the boys hunted the Wild Thing down and returned it to its crate. The grandkids learned that the most important part of Christmas is spending time with your family. You can watch the whole skit at this link:

FES presented library director, Jackie Kush, with the #1 Elf in Freddy-ville Award. Jackie's upbeat personality, easy-going nature, and creativity make her the best person for this title. She organized two afternoons filled with fun for our elementary classes. Thank you, Jackie, for all of your hard work!

As part of FES 5 Days of Christmas, students went to Upham Memorial Library for Christmas crafts, games, STEM activities, and snacks.

Durant students had another fun week of buddy bingo, a coloring contest, and guest readers!
Last Friday, the 4th graders helped their Kindergarten Reading Buddies make gingerbread houses. Today, they did a Christmas activity together and read books.
FES has Holiday Spirit Dress-Up Days during this last week before Christmas. Today is Who-ville Hair.

FES had a special visitor today during lunch. Tori Bearman, the 2023 Chickasaw County Fair Queen, handed out candy canes for dessert.

FES received a generous donation of gifts for our December Cougar Way Reward. The library was turned into a little gift shop this morning, and the students were able to shop for two gifts for their parents/guardians. Then, they went back to their classroom to decorate gift bags for their gifts.
MS girls bb game today at Charles City starting at 4:15 with 7th grade will be played at the OLD HS GYM (1 Comet Dr.) Admission for adults $3, students $2 and family $5
Big thank you to Northeast Security Bank of Fredericksburg for everything they do for our school! We received a fruit plate to kickoff our last week before break! Also, they donate all of our concession stand popcorn bags. Our school appreciates our community support!
The Junior class Holiday clothing order has arrived and can be picked up at SFHS tomorrow, Tuesday.
