Tonight we celebrated our PK graduates from Durant Elementary. Off to Kindergarten!
Mr. Price's students put their knowledge of the engineering design process, as well as, energy and energy transfer to create their own chain reaction machines (Rube Goldberg Machines). They finished and presented their machines to their classmates. Creativity, time management, and perseverance were key roles for creating a successful design.
We had our last Cougar Way assembly at FES this morning. We celebrated students with 2nd semester perfect attendance, birthdays, and STAR students. Many thinks to Mrs. Hammond who organizes our monthly celebrations and the teachers and staff who always jump in to help with the skits!
This morning Durant celebrated the end of the year with a slideshow of the many events we had throughout the year. We also celebrated Mrs. Brandt's RETIRING (not FIRING according to a kinder student) after 23 years of teaching at DES. She also subbed at DES prior to that. We also wished Mrs. Haverkamp and Mrs. Buchholz well as they're off to new adventures.
Last night we celebrated our Fredericksburg Elementary PK graduates. Off to Kindergarten!
