Durant Elementary students had their October Cougar Way assembly. They recited the Pledge of Allegiance and The Cougar Way Pledge. Fourth grade students taught us about RESPECT.
Cougar Way Pledge
I pledge to be a kid of character. I will be worthy of trust. I will be respectful and responsible doing what I must. I will always act with fairness. I will show that I care. I will be a good citizen and always do my share. I will be a TRRFCC kid. That’s the Cougar Way!

Fredericksburg Elementary had their October Cougar Way Assembly. Mrs. Hammond and the staff led a skit to teach the students about respect. We were able to recognize our October birthdays and honor our October STAR students.

Guest speaker, Brady Meyer. Brady graduated from Sumner-Fredericksburg High School in 2013 and attended Wartburg College, graduating in 2017. During his time at Wartburg, Brady majored in Biology and wrestled for the multi-National Champion Wartburg Knights. Following his graduation from Wartburg, Brady attended physical therapy school at Briar Cliff, graduating in 2021.
He is currently employed as a physical therapist at Taylor Physical Therapy working in Waverly and Sumner. He is currently leading the youth Cougar Wrestling Club and is passionate about health and fitness. Brady values hard work, respect, and accountability in both himself and his wrestlers.
