Good morning S-F parents,
Our internet is down this morning at all buildings due to a cut cable during local road construction. All building phones are still functional and our provider is working on the issue. Once we are back online, we'll let parents know. Thank you!
Student artists from Durant Elementary and Fredericksburg Elementary are making their mark! 🎨
Five pieces from each school's art students will be showcased at the upcoming Plum Creek Art Gallery Student Art Exhibit in Fredericksburg. Stop by to view creative works from students across the region and cast your vote for the People’s Choice in the Elementary, Middle School, and High School divisions.
Enjoy cookies, lemonade, and a celebration of student creativity on Saturday, May 10, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Plum Creek Art Gallery.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to express a huge THANK YOU to the incredible educators serving our schools and students @ S-F. 🌟
Your impact reaches far beyond classroom walls, positively influencing our community and our future. We’re grateful for all you do!

The Middle School Hope Squad served Hope Floats to the middle school last Friday during Hope Week! Thank you to Ten Wasp Brewery for the generous donation of root beer!

FES had a Cougar Way Assembly today. Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion made it to Emerald City to see the Wizard. He told them they needed to get the broomstick from the Wicked Witch for their wishes to be granted. They melted the Wicked Witch and got Dorothy's shoes back. The Wizard told them they already have all that they need to succeed back at FES, so Dorothy clicked her shoes together and said, "There's No Place Like FES." They all ended up back where they belong. You can watch our last skit of the year at the following link: https://youtu.be/Yne5P7A27Y4

FES celebrated Star Cougars and April/July Birthdays today at the Cougar Way Assembly. Thank you to our Lollipop Guild for handing out the lollipops!

Thank you bunches and bunches for our breakfasts and lunches!
* They start early in the morning, work hard, and serve with heart. We're grateful for our kitchen cooks and servers who ensure our kids get a nutritious meal every day. 🍅🥦
* On School Lunch Hero Day, we thank you for the vital role you play in the lives of our students and in our schools!

UPDATE...Waylon Drudik found the 100th picture of Mr. Volker at 3:00 today!
ATTENTION FES STUDENTS: Maverick is reminding you to wear your Cougar shirt tomorrow for our Cougar Way Assembly!

FES students love knocking on the door and trying to run away before being caught! To the members of the community of Fredericksburg...thank you for supporting our school! What a fun day!

Happy May Day from FES! Today students decorated bags and wrote notes. Students delivered their May Day Bags to people around town to spread kindness. Thank you to Miss Henniges for driving the bus for us!

Happy School Principals' Day to Mr. Volker! FES decided to play a game in his honor. Staff hid 100 pictures of him around the school. When students found a picture, they would put it on a board that said, "Where in the World is Mr. Volker?" As of 2:30, 97 pictures have been found. Will FES students find all 100 pictures? Thank you, Mr. Volker, for always being there for your staff and students! We appreciate all that you do!

HUGE shoutout to these amazing young men! Due to some temporary staff shortages at SFMS, these incredible students have stepped up in a big way. Every 9th period, they're volunteering their time to help keep our building clean by collecting trash from all the classrooms. Their willingness to help out is truly appreciated! If you see them in the hallways, please take a moment to say "THANK YOU!!" for their fantastic contribution to our school community.

Our 7th grade FCS students got some hands-on experience, working with the 3 and 4-year-old preschool class as part of their Childcare Unit.

Have a great weekend & GO COUGARS!

FES students will be focusing on the CITIZENSHIP character pillar these last weeks of school. Fredericksburg Amvets Post 90 came to show the 4th graders how to fold the flag and taught them flag etiquette. This class will now be responsible for raising and taking down the flag for the rest of the year. On Earth Day, 3rd graders cleaned up our flower garden that is used as an outdoor classroom.
