B Day – Day 2 for Band Lessons

Announcements
Congratulations to the 8th grade football team on their victory over Denver last night.
The football and volleyball teams will have their end of the season party today. The shuttle will be earlier than normal, arriving at 4:30.
The cross-country team ran at Oelwein tonight for the NICL Conference Cross Country Meet. Congratulations to Kate B. who was our fastest girl with a 2-mile time of 15 minutes and 58 seconds, which is now a school record for this meet. Connor M. was the fastest boy with a 2-mile school-record time of 13 minutes and 27 seconds. Great running, Cougars!
Cross country’s end of the season pizza party will be next Wednesday, October 22.
Reminder, the Student Led Parent/Teacher Conferences are next week on Tuesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 23 from 3:30-7:30. Both of those days will be 2 hour early dismissals. Friday, October 24 will be a no school day due to conferences.
Girls Basketball had an informational meeting today during homeroom. Practice will start next week. Practice will be after school all 4 days. On Tuesday and Thursday, the two early out day, practice will follow after school from 1:15 until 3:30. There will be a shuttle to the high school at 3:30 those days.
Boys Wrestling will have a pre-season meeting next Wednesday, October 22 during the school day. If your student is interested in wrestling they can attend and will come home with an informational packet. Practices will begin after school until 5:15 on Monday, October 27.
