5/22 Friday-No Shuttle
**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day and the schedule changes every week. If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.
Welcome to Day 2 of finals! Today, we will kick things off with your 4th and 5th-period finals, followed by lunch and homebase. Freshmen and Juniors will eat during A lunch, while Sophomores have B lunch. Remember, whenever you are not at lunch, you must report directly to your homebase. We will conclude today's testing with your 6th-period final.
Following 6th period, if a teacher has requested you for Cougar Time, you must report to them immediately. Students who were not requested but need to wait for the bus should head to the Library; all other students are free to leave for the day.
Mr. Sadler’s classes should report to the library today and tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be a shorter day featuring only 7th and 8th-period finals, followed by a sack lunch and Cougar Time, leading into a 1:15 PM dismissal.
If you are finished with your finals and will not be coming tomorrow, please remember that I will need confirmation from your teachers and your parents for it to be excused. You will also need to turn in any materials and your chromebook & charger to your 7th or 8th period teacher (whomever would be your last class of a regular day.)
Please remember that you are not permitted to leave school in the middle of a scheduled class period, even with parent permission. If you need to check out for any reason other than medical, you must wait until the end of the current period to dismiss. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us minimize distractions during class time!
Good luck on your tests, and let’s finish the year strong, Cougars!
Mr. Coyle will be out for the remainder of the week. If you are currently in one of his classes, you may be eligible for an AM or PM release during that period. However, please note that your parents must contact the main office to give permission before you can sign out. Check in with the office if you have any questions!
All library materials should have been returned last week. If you still have library books out, get those turned in ASAP or you will be charged for them.
If you have silver cord hours to turn in, get those to the office before you leave tomorrow.
Just a reminder that if you have a parking permit, you need to turn it in before you leave tomorrow! You can bring them to the office anytime between now and then.
Feeling those mid-exam hunger pangs? Don't stress— à la carte will be open all day today and tomorrow to keep you fueled. Just stop by the kitchen between classes whenever you need a brain boost! Please remember that you must have cash in hand or available funds in your lunch account to make a purchase.
Let's send our State-qualifying track and field athletes off with a massive Cougar roar! If your teacher/class allows, please head to the activity entrance at 9:40 AM to cheer them on and wish them luck as they head to Des Moines to compete on the famous Blue Oval. Let's show them our Cougar pride—good luck at State! 🐾🥇

Clean out your lockers for a cause! If you have school supplies you won’t be using next year, don’t throw them away—consider donating them to classrooms and students in need instead. Mrs. Fuller is hosting a Used School Supply Drive and is accepting donations in Room 108. In addition to standard supplies, she is also collecting magnets from any locker decorations you may be tossing. Swing by Room 108 to drop off your items and help us start next year off right!
Attention students and staff! Please take one last look through the Lost and Found located by the main office if you are missing a jacket, blue jeans, gloves, or any other personal items. Make sure to claim your belongings as soon as possible, because any items left after this Friday will be donated to charity. Don't wait—go check today!
