**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day and the schedule changes every week. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.
Weather permitting, Cougar softball kicks off their home season tonight with an exciting scrimmage against Kee! Head down to the field to cheer them on; first pitch is at 5:00 PM. Then tomorrow, the girls' golf team hits the road to South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo for Round 2 of the 2A Regional action. Good luck to all of our athletes & go Cougars!
Today we will follow our regular daily schedule. However, things shift starting tomorrow. Wednesday will be 1st, 2nd, lunch/hb, and 3rd periods, followed by Cougar Time for the remainder of the day. Students with AM release need to be here by 9:30 tomorrow. Thursday will be 4th, 5th, lunch/hb, and 6th periods, followed by Cougar Time. You are permitted to leave after your last class of the day unless a teacher has requested you for Cougar Time—be sure to check your status, as this is your final opportunity to get extra help, make up missing assignments, or finish those last-minute tests. Finally, Friday will feature just 7th & 8th periods followed by a sack lunch (for those who pre-ordered) and a final session of Cougar Time with a 1:15 dismissal. Schedules will be linked in the announcements and posted at the office. Please note that buses will still run on their regular schedule; therefore, if you ride the bus home, you must report to your Homebase teacher after lunch to wait for dismissal. Let’s finish Cougar Strong!
All library materials should have been returned last week. If you still have library books out, get those turned in ASAP or you will be charged for them.
Are you planning to eat lunch at school on Friday? Lunch will be a sack lunch featuring a turkey sub, applesauce, juice, fresh vegetables, chips, and milk. To ensure we have enough food for everyone, you must fill out the Google Form to place your order. All orders must be submitted TODAY by noon, so don't wait—get your request in now if you’d like a meal for Friday!
FBLA, FCCLA, or any student looking to earn Silver Cord hours: Ms. Sadler needs your help! See her as soon as possible to sign up for volunteer shifts to serve ice cream at Dairy Days on June 4th and 5th.
If you have silver cord hours to turn in, get those to the office before you leave on Friday.
Clean out your lockers for a cause! If you have school supplies you won’t be using next year, don’t throw them away—consider donating them to classrooms and students in need instead. Mrs. Fuller is hosting a Used School Supply Drive and is accepting donations in Room 108. In addition to standard supplies, she is also collecting magnets from any locker decorations you may be tossing. Swing by Room 108 to drop off your items and help us start next year off right!
Just a reminder that if you have a parking permit, you need to turn it in before you leave on Friday! You can bring them to the office anytime between now and then.
Attention students and staff! Please take one last look through the Lost and Found located by the main office if you are missing a jacket, blue jeans, gloves, or any other personal items. Make sure to claim your belongings as soon as possible, because any items left after this Friday will be donated to charity. Don't wait—go check today!
Fredericksburg Park & Rec is seeking volunteers to help in the food tent during Dairy Days. The food tent will be open Friday and Saturday, June 5th and 6th. This is a great opportunity to get volunteer hours in! If interested in taking a shift, please contact Misty at fburgparkandrec@gmail.com.
Quote of the day: “Exams are nature’s way of asking, ‘Do you really know this, or were you just pretending?”
