If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.
Today we want to take a moment to celebrate Principal Appreciation Day and give a huge shout-out to Mr. Wall! We are so lucky to have a leader who truly does it all—from the big-picture stuff to the small moments that make our school feel like home. Whether he’s in the hallways or the bleachers, it’s clear that Mr. Wall genuinely cares about every single student here and works tirelessly to help us succeed. If you see him today, please make sure to say thank you for everything he does for our Cougar family!
Big congratulations to the Cougar Golf Team on a strong performance at Oelwein last night! The Boys team secured a fantastic win, carding a 167 to defeat Oelwein’s 179. A special shoutout to Antonio Gitch, who finished as the meet runner-up medalist with a sharp score of 41. On the girls' side, it was a nail-biter; the team finished in a 195-195 tie, though they unfortunately fell just short on the 5th-score tiebreaker. Kylee Krueger led the way for the girls, earning runner-up medalist honors with a 43.
It’s a jam-packed weekend at SFHS, and we’re kicking things off today on the green! Our Girls Golf team hosts Mason City and South Hardin at 1:00 PM; participating golfers are excused at 12:15 PM to prepare. On the track, our teams are hitting the road: Girls Track members are released at 2:40 PM for their meet at North Butler, followed by the Boys Track team releasing at 2:50 PM for Starmont.
The momentum continues into the weekend:
Saturday: Join the Hope Squad for the Run for Hope starting at 8:00 AM, or catch the Girls Golf team as they travel to Decorah for a 9:00 AM meet.
Sunday: Come celebrate our talented creators at the Art Show, then head to the Auditorium at 2:30 PM for the Senior Awards Ceremony.
Good luck to all our athletes and congratulations to our seniors!
