The Boys Track team put together a strong performance at the Oelwein Invitational, finishing 4th out of 9 teams. Our throwers dominated the field, with Paxton Frost taking 1st in Discus and Gavin Trask sweeping the podium with 1st in Shot Put and 2nd in Discus. On the track, Jace Brinkman earned 2nd in the 100m, while the Sprint Medley Relay (Jones, Mitchell, Rucker, Brinkman) also took home 2nd. Rounding out the scoring was the 4x400 Relay (Jones, Leete, Rucker, Brinkman) with a solid 3rd-place finish. Great job, Cougars!
Congratulations to the Girls Golf team for taking home 1st place over both MFL and Union last night! Kylee Krueger led the way as the meet medalist with an impressive 40. Greyson Smith took 3rd (45) and Kate Swehla followed in 4th (47). A special shoutout to freshmen Claire Koester and Addison Rhea for their positive impact on the varsity squad. Keep up the momentum, ladies!
The Boys Golf team played well at home, led by our four seniors. Jackson Reisner carded a 39, followed by Aiden Koester (40), Antonio Gitch (41), and Levi Maifeld (43) to round out the top four. The Cougars went 1-1 on the night, falling to Union but showing great grit to defeat MFL by just one stroke. Way to play, boys!
A representative from the US Air Force will be here during lunch today. Feel free to stop by and see what opportunities they have to offer.
