Big things happened for the Cougars last night! At the New Hampton Relays, Gavin Trask stole the show, taking 1st in both Shot Put and Discus, while shattering the New School Record in Discus with a massive toss of 169-06! Jace Brinkman also claimed gold in the 400m, adding to a successful boys' side that saw top-three finishes from Paxton Frost, Kale Rucker, and the Sprint Medley Relay team. The girls dominated the track with 1st place finishes from Braelyn Suckow (100m and 200m), Livy Schoonover (400m), Sydney Zupke (800m), and the 4x400 Relay team, while Jaci Snyder and the 4x800 and Sprint Medley teams brought home 2nd.

On the links, the boys' golf team secured a strong 2nd place finish against AGWSR with a team score of 158, led by Senior Jackson Reisner, who was the meet runner-up with a 36. The girls' golf team stayed red hot, defeating both Denver and AGWSR with a season-low 180! Junior Kylee Krueger took medalist honors with a 41, followed by Greyson Smith in 2nd and Kate Swehla in 3rd. Great job to all our athletes!

  • Show some school spirit and cheer on our spring athletes as they hit the road for competition! Tonight, our Track & Field team travels to Aplington-Parkersburg, weather permitting; athletes should be released at 2:25 PM to catch the bus at 2:35 PM. The excitement continues tomorrow morning as Golf action begins at 10:00 AM in New Hampton, where our boys take on the Chickasaws. Good luck to all our competitors!
