**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day and the schedule changes every week. If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.
Hooray for our freshmen and juniors—you have officially reached the last day of testing! Please remember that we will still be running an adjusted schedule today (1st, 2nd, 5th/lunch, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th periods). Sophomores will complete their science testing tomorrow immediately following 1st period in the auditorium. If you missed any days of testing this week, Mr. Wall will be in contact with you soon to schedule a time to complete any remaining sections. Great job to everyone for your hard work and focus!

Attention all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors: Are you interested in medicine, cancer research, or STEM? Applications are now open for the HERO (Healthcare Experience and Research in Oncology) program! This is a two-week virtual summer experience running from July 20–31, 2026, designed specifically for Iowa students. Participants will gain valuable hands-on research experience, receive professional mentorship, and earn a $500 stipend upon completion. Don't miss this chance to jumpstart your career in healthcare! 📵 Classroom Phone Policy
Phones must be put away in the designated class holder at the beginning of the period and should not be taken out until the class is over.
Phones are not permitted for use during instructional time—period.
What Happens if the Policy is Violated?
1st Time: Phone is immediately taken and held at the Main Office. You can pick it up yourself when school is dismissed.
2nd Time: Phone is immediately taken. The Main Office will call your parent or guardian who must come to the school to collect it.
3rd Time: Phone is immediately taken. Your parent or guardian must collect it. You will also be required to check your phone into the Main Office every morning and pick it up only after your last class for a period of time.
Parking Reminders:
🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.
All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.
Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=warning, 2nd violation=$5 fine, 3rd violation=$10 fine, 4th violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.
No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
