**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day and the schedule changes every week. If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.

  • The Cougar Boys track team delivered a powerhouse performance this past Monday at the Dickinson Relays in the UNI Dome. Leading the charge in the field events, Gavin Trask secured a 4th-place finish in the Shot Put while shattering his own school record with a massive toss of 54-09.5. On the track, Jace Brinkman showcased incredible endurance by placing 6th out of a massive field of 193 runners in the 400 Meters, while Kale Rucker dominated his heat in the 200 Meters to clock a personal best of 24.39. Rounding out the day of milestones, Shane Warnke also achieved a personal best in the Shot Put with a strong throw of 37-01.25. Huge congratulations to all the athletes—keep up that championship work ethic!

  • Sending a huge shout-out to our girls' track athletes as they head to the Dickinson Relays today. Let’s start the season on a high note! We’re all rooting for you back home!

  • The Cougar Bowling Awards Banquet is tonight at 6PM. This is a potluck event so bring your favorite dish to share!

  • A representative from Hawkeye Community College will be here to help with anything to do with concurrent enrollment from 11:30-1:30 in the library.

  • Attention to all NHS members, new and old, please meet in Mrs. Brinkman’s room during homebase today.

  • Ready to get a head start on your college credits? Registration for Fall 2026 Hawkeye classes is happening Thursday, March 19th, at 9:00 AM in the auditorium. Make sure to check your inbox for a message from Mrs. Herold—she’s sent out all the essential details you need to be prepared for the big day. Don’t miss your chance to lock in your schedule!

  • Grab your neon and get ready to travel back in time! Join us this Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 PM for the Friends of Music Carnival. We’re going Back to the Eighties with awesome food, radical games, and prizes that are totally tubular. Don't miss out on the best party of the decade—see you there!

  • Are you looking for the perfect summer job? The Sumner Family Aquatic Center is officially hiring lifeguards for the 2026 season! If you love being by the water and want to serve your community, check your school email for the full announcement. You'll find all the job requirements and the application link right there. There are additional employment opportunities for those at least 14 years old as well. Don't wait—get your application in and prepare for a great summer at the pool!

  • Summer Driver Education class through Homesafe Driving School is now open for registration.  Registration can be found at homesafedrivered.com/classes.  Class will run from May 13th through June 27th.  This class is limited to 16 students. 📣Community Notices/Announcements

📵 Classroom Phone Policy

  • Phones must be put away in the designated class holder at the beginning of the period and should not be taken out until the class is over.

  • Phones are not permitted for use during instructional time—period.

What Happens if the Policy is Violated?

  • 1st Time: Phone is immediately taken and held at the Main Office. You can pick it up yourself when school is dismissed.

  • 2nd Time: Phone is immediately taken. The Main Office will call your parent or guardian who must come to the school to collect it.

  • 3rd Time: Phone is immediately taken. Your parent or guardian must collect it. You will also be required to check your phone into the Main Office every morning and pick it up only after your last class for a period of time.

Parking Reminders:

🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=warning, 2nd violation=$5 fine, 3rd violation=$10 fine, 4th violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
