Huge congratulations to our SFHS Individual Speech students; Hailey Bishop, Asher Bergmann, Skylar Harnisch, Michaela Sorenson, K Peach, Rocky Collazo, and Greyson Priebe! On Saturday, the seven Cougars traveled to Decorah and delivered powerhouse performances across a wide range of categories, including Solo Musical Theatre, Interpretive Prose, Interpretive Poetry, Storytelling, Acting, and Literary Program. We are thrilled to announce that all seven students earned top ratings and are moving on to the State competition! Best of luck to our talented speakers as they prepare to compete at Maquoketa Valley in two weeks.
Mr. Wall and I have dropped the ball and missed the whole month of February for the coveted “Skip the Lunch Line” ISASP reward pass! Ready to be a hero? Your chance to save lives is coming to the Gold Gym tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4th! The NHS is hosting a blood drive from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and we are looking for volunteers to step up for the community. Since one single donation has the power to save three lives, your contribution makes a massive difference. To get involved, simply find a flyer in the hallway, scan the QR code, and sign up for a slot that fits your schedule. Please remember that all donors must bring a photo ID. If you are under 18 and donating for the first time, be sure to grab a parent permission form from Mrs. Brinkman and bring it with you tomorrow. Finally, make sure to eat a good breakfast and lunch and drink plenty of water before your appointment. Thanks for being lifesavers!
