  • Way to go, Cougars! It’s a banner week for Sumner-Fredericksburg as we celebrate incredible achievements across the board. Huge congratulations to our High School Speech Department, as both the Choral Reading group (“The Scary Movie Club”) and Musical Theatre group (“Cell Block Tango”) received the highest honor in the state: All-State Nominations to Perform! Our musical excellence continued Monday night, where the SF Sensations became one of only ten show choirs in the state to earn a Division I-Superior rating. We also celebrate our Central Rivers FCCLA District STAR Events competitors, all of whom have advanced to the state level! High honors go to Jaci Snyder (Gold), Deanna and Megan Balk (Gold), Kalena Quigley and Skylar Harnisch (Silver), and Emma Grimes (Bronze) as they prepare for their March competition. Finally, a huge shoutout to Cougar Boys Basketball for their dominant 89-67 victory over the NFV Tigerhawks last night. We are so proud of the hard work, creativity, and athleticism our students continue to display—keep representing S-F with pride!
