2/6 Friday-Shuttle leaves HS @ 6:00

**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day and the schedule changes every week. If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.

  • It’s a massive weekend in Cougar Country with plenty of opportunities to show your school spirit! Girls State Wrestling continues this morning at the Xtream Arena in Coralville. Good luck to Jamie as she battles for a 3rd place spot on the podium— keep up the intensity!! Back closer to home, the boys bowling team heads to Panther Lanes to take on Tripoli at 4:00 PM; bowlers, remember you are dismissed from class at 2:50 PM. On the court, our basketball teams travel to AGWSR High School to face off against the AGWSR Cougars starting at 4:45 PM. JV boys and girls should plan to leave class at 2:00 PM to catch the bus. The action doesn’t stop there! Tomorrow, the boys wrestling team travels to Clear Lake for round-robin tournament action starting at 10:00 AM, while our talented performers compete at the State Large Group Speech Contest. Good luck to all our athletes and performers—let's go Cougars!

  • Reminder that National Honor Society Applications are due to Ms. Sadler by Monday, February 9th at 3:15.

  • Order forms for Senior Class shirts are available at the office. They are due to Mrs. Schilling by next Friday, 2/13.

  • If you are in need of any school supplies, check with Mrs. Fuller.

  • The FBLA/FCCLA Sweetheart Dance is coming up on Friday, February 13th, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Entry is $5 at the door. If you plan to bring a date from another school, you must pick up a guest form in the office and return it by Wednesday, February 11th. Mark your calendars and we'll see you there! All Hearts Welcome ♥️

  • Seniors, if you have silver cord hours to turn in, please get them turned into the office ASAP. Remember, silver cord hours should be turned in by the end of every school year. Please don’t wait until the last minute of your senior year to turn them in.

  • Are you looking for the perfect summer job? The Sumner Family Aquatic Center is officially hiring lifeguards for the 2026 season! If you love being by the water and want to serve your community, check your school email for the full announcement. You'll find all the job requirements and the application link right there. Don't wait—get your application in and prepare for a great summer at the pool!

  • Reminder: We WILL have school on Monday, February 16th. This is a make up day from the snow day on Friday, 1/23.

  • Sumner-Fredericksburg HS After Prom is hosting our 1st Annual Mattress Fundraiser on Sunday, March 8th, from 10am-5pm. Please forward this coupon flyer to family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and anyone else you can think of. We need your help to find just one person who is already planning on buying a mattress and get them to come to the event.   • Summer Driver Education class through Homesafe Driving School is now open for registration.  Registration can be found at homesafedrivered.com/classes.  Class will run from May 13th through June 27th.  This class is limited to 16 students. 📵 Classroom Phone Policy

  • Phones must be put away in the designated class holder at the beginning of the period and should not be taken out until the class is over.

  • Phones are not permitted for use during instructional time—period.

What Happens if the Policy is Violated?

  • 1st Time: Phone is immediately taken and held at the Main Office. You can pick it up yourself when school is dismissed.

  • 2nd Time: Phone is immediately taken. The Main Office will call your parent or guardian who must come to the school to collect it.

  • 3rd Time: Phone is immediately taken. Your parent or guardian must collect it. You will also be required to check your phone into the Main Office every morning and pick it up only after your last class for a period of time.

Parking Reminders:

🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=warning, 2nd violation=$5 fine, 3rd violation=$10 fine, 4th violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
