  • It was a massive weekend for Cougar Athletics, starting with an incredible performance from our Girls Wrestling team! At Friday’s 1A Regional Qualifier in Denver, the girls truly "let the fur fly," capturing an outstanding 2nd place finish out of 17 teams. Congratulations to our six medalists: Jamie Jones, Maleena Sander, Braelyn Suckow, Kaydi Cowell, Emerie Parkes, and Ella Schares. We are beyond proud to announce that Jamie Jones, Maleena Sander, Braelyn Suckow, and Kaydi Cowell are officially State Qualifiers! Be sure to cheer them on at the Xtreme Arena in Coralville this Thursday and Friday—don’t be denied!

The success continued on Saturday at the NICL Tourney in Denver, where our Cougar Boys Wrestlers earned a hard-fought 6th place finish in a 13-team field featuring four ranked programs. Seven Cougars earned podium spots: Sam Egan and Jase Jones took 2nd, Michael Eimers and Zak Willems finished 3rd, Jordan Cannon placed 4th, Ryder Larson took 5th, and Linkan Suckow finished 6th.

Finally, our Girls Bowling team brought the heat at their State Qualifying meet, finishing 3rd overall with a team score of 2037. A special shoutout goes to Emery Meier, who led the way with a 440 series to finish 9th individually. We are so proud of the work these girls put in this season; they are sure to make some noise next year! Even as we reminisce on these great moments of the past weekend, we remain focused on the present—let’s make the most of every opportunity. Let’s go, Cougars!

  • It’s a big night in the den! Tonight, our basketball teams face off against the Hudson Pirates right here at home. Good luck to all our athletes—let’s go Cougars! 🐾
