**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day and the schedule changes every week. If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.
It’s a busy and exciting couple of days for Cougar athletics! Best of luck to all our athletes competing today and throughout the weekend. This afternoon, Girls Wrestling heads to Denver for their State Qualifying meet at 4:00 PM; wrestlers will be released from class at 12:45 PM. Boys Bowling is also in action today, taking to the lanes at Waukon starting at 4:00 PM, with a dismissal time of 1:50 PM. Our Basketball teams travel to Wapsie Valley for a 4:00 PM tip-off against the Warriors; JV boys and all girls basketball players will be dismissed at 2:55 PM. Tomorrow morning, Varsity Boys Wrestling heads to Denver for the NICL Conference tournament beginning at 10:00 AM. Looking ahead to Monday, Girls Varsity Bowling will be at West Delaware for their State Qualifying meet starting at 10:00 AM. Let’s go, Cougars!
Hope Squad will be meeting during homebase TODAY--please plan accordingly: attendance is required.
Yesterday, seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, juniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above, and sophomores with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above should have received an email from Ms. Sadler inviting them to apply for the National Honor Society. Students who received the email and are interested in applying for membership should fill out the electronic application that is attached. Completed applications are due back to Ms. Sadler by 3:15 p.m. on Monday, February 9. Please contact Ms. Sadler if you did not receive an email and believe you met the criteria or have any questions about the NHS application. Freshmen are not eligible, as you must have completed one year of high school to qualify

Sumner-Fredericksburg HS After Prom is hosting our 1st Annual Mattress Fundraiser on Sunday, March 8th, from 10am-5pm. Summer Driver Education class through Homesafe Driving School is now open for registration. Registration can be found at homesafedrivered.com/classes. Class will run from May 13th through June 27th. 📵 Classroom Phone Policy
Phones must be put away in the designated class holder at the beginning of the period and should not be taken out until the class is over.
Phones are not permitted for use during instructional time—period.
What Happens if the Policy is Violated?
1st Time: Phone is immediately taken and held at the Main Office. You can pick it up yourself when school is dismissed.
2nd Time: Phone is immediately taken. The Main Office will call your parent or guardian who must come to the school to collect it.
3rd Time: Phone is immediately taken. Your parent or guardian must collect it. You will also be required to check your phone into the Main Office every morning and pick it up only after your last class for a period of time.
Parking Reminders:
🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.
All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.
Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=warning, 2nd violation=$5 fine, 3rd violation=$10 fine, 4th violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.
No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
