  • The Cougar bowlers brought the heat to the lanes in Grundy Center last night! The boys team fought hard against a tough Grundy squad, finishing with a score of 2472 to 2789. A massive shoutout goes to Antonio G, who was absolutely on fire—his incredible 443 series now stands as the 3rd highest individual series in Cougar history! Hayden S (346) and Connor K (312) also put up strong numbers, while Asher B celebrated a new personal high game of 184 in JV action. On the girls' side, it was a nail-biter until the very last frame! Led by Bella W (329) and Kali B (298), the Cougars secured a thrilling 10-pin victory, winning 2034 to 2024. The night was highlighted by personal milestones, as both Ayva W and Chloe S rolled impressive personal bests of 160. Congratulations to all our bowlers on a fantastic night of clutch performances!

  • It’s another busy night for Cougar sports! First, good luck to our bowling team as they travel to Decorah to take on the Vikings and the New Hampton Chickasaws at 4:00 PM; bowlers, please remember you are dismissed at 2:05 PM. Over on the court, our Basketball teams head to Union High School to battle the Knights. The JV Boys tip off at 4:30 PM, and both the JV Boys and all Girls basketball players are dismissed at 2:30 PM. Finally, come out and support our Girls Wrestling team as they host a home tournament tonight starting at 4:30. The ladies should check into 8th period before being dismissed for weigh-ins. Let’s go, Cougars!

  • Attention to both the boys and girls basketball teams, both Blue Gym locker rooms will be used for tonight’s tournament. Please have all your belongings picked up and lockers locked before 8th period today.

  • All students who signed up for work-based learning need to head to Ms. Sadler’s room after checking into homebase today.

  • FCCLA will be selling boba and lemonade today during homebase. As always, make sure you check in with your homebase teacher and if you are requested by any teachers you must go there first.

  • Seniors, if you have silver cord hours to turn in, please work on finishing those up and get them turned into the office. Remember, silver cord hours should be turned in by the end of every school year. Please don’t wait until the last minute of your senior year to turn them in.

  • There will be a short FBLA meeting during homebase tomorrow to finalize plans for FBLA week activities.

  • Spread the love and support our FBLA chapter! Carnation sales have officially begun. Choose from red, pink, or white flowers for just $3 each or 2 for $5. All orders will be delivered on February 13th, just in time for Valentine’s Day! All orders are due by February 2nd. See Ms. Sadler today to place your order and make someone's day.

  • Get ready for a night to remember! You are cordially invited to the FBLA/FCCLA Sweetheart Dance on Friday, February 13th, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Entry is just $5, and we’ll have a Polaroid station set up to help you capture all your favorite memories. Planning to bring a date from another school? • Sumner-Fredericksburg HS After Prom is hosting our 1st Annual Mattress Fundraiser on Sunday, March 8th, from 10am-5pm. Please forward this coupon flyer to family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and anyone else you can think of. We need your help to find just one person who is already planning on buying a mattress and get them to come to the event. Not only will they get a great deal, but they’ll also sleep better knowing their purchase supports the After Prom. Watch this video!  More information can be found here: FB EVENT LINK
