**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day and the schedule changes every week. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.

  • Today we begin our first semester finals with an odd-period class schedule, covering periods 1, 3, 5, and 7, followed by Homebase. Lunch will occur after the first two periods; opposite of your normal lunch period, you will have a 30-minute study or break period in your 5th-period classroom. Please note that today’s release times are modified, so PM release students will need to stay until 3:15 PM. Looking ahead to tomorrow, we will follow an even-period class schedule for periods 2, 4, 6, and 8, followed by Homebase. For Friday, AM release students must arrive by 8:00 AM, while PM release students will be allowed to depart at 1:15 PM. As you wrap up your exams, remember to balance your studying with plenty of sleep. Keep in mind that the second semester begins this Monday, January 19, and the final deadline for any schedule changes is Tuesday, January 20. Good luck to everyone on their finals!

  • It’s a busy night for Cougar Athletics! Come out and support our Basketball teams as they host the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies right here at home; the JV Boys get the action started with a 5:00 PM tip-off. For those using the Gold Gym girls' locker room, please ensure all personal belongings are picked up and lockers are securely locked, as that space will be used for tonight’s games. Meanwhile, our Boys and Girls Wrestling teams are hitting the road to Waterloo for a triangular meet against the Columbus Catholic Sailors and the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons. Good luck to all our athletes competing tonight—let’s go Cougars!

  • If you missed the meeting for Foundations of Education/Field Experience on Monday but would like to take the class, email Mr. Cunningham at cunninghamr@sfcougars.k12.ia.us
