**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day and the schedule changes every week. If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.

  • The Cougar Boys Wrestling team had a powerful week, finishing in 3rd place as a team at the Nashua-Plainfield Tournament! Medalists included Michael Eimers (2nd at 106), Zak Willems (3rd at 120), Sam Egan (2nd at 132), Linkan Suckow (3rd at 138), Ryder Larson (2nd at 144), and Jase Jones (2nd at 150). We also celebrate JV Champs Brennan Pagel (106) and Teghyn Limkemann (175).

The Lady Cougar Wrestlers also showed great strength, placing 10th out of 26 at the South Winn Tournament on Friday! Huge congratulations to senior Jamie Jones for reaching an incredible 100 Career Wins! Other placers were Braelyn Suckow, Millie VanSickle, and Kiana Hilsenbeck.

The girls wrestle again tomorrow at Central Elkader, but you can catch both teams at home this Thursday at 6:15 PM for a NICL double dual against Oelwein and East Marshall! We will cap the evening with "Mat Pack Exhibition Night" to recognize our youth wrestlers. Go Cougars!

  • Don't miss the spectacular Winter Concert tonight! Join us for a wonderful evening of festive music, starting with a special pre-show featuring the talented Durant students at 5:30 PM. Then, stay to cheer on your high school classmates as they take the stage for their main performance at 7:00 PM. Come early and enjoy the show!

  • Hey Students! Just a friendly reminder to get your creative juices flowing and submit your artwork for the "Mr. Wall's Winter Wonderland" coloring contest! The deadline to turn in your colorful masterpieces is this Wednesday. Don't miss your chance to win a prize and show off your artistic talent! Turn your submission into the main office before the end of the school day on Wednesday! Staff can participate too!

  • 🧑‍🎄North Pole Roll Call: Dress as your favorite character from a Christmas movie tomorrow!!!

  • Hey students! If you're curious about joining the Mock Trial Club or taking the Educational/Field Experience course, please check your email for a survey from Mr. Cunningham that was sent out last Friday. Filling out the survey is just an expression of interest, not a commitment, but you must complete it by Wednesday, December 17th.

  • Tonight’s FFA meeting will begin at 6 PM to adjust for the Winter Concert. Join them for a short meeting with some sweet treats and a few games! See you there!

  • Congratulations to this week's winners of the "Skip the Lunch Line" ISASP reward passes: Jaci Snyder, Berenisse Olandez-Sanchez, & Jamie Jones! Enjoy getting to the front of the lunch line this week.

  • 📸Senior Pictures are due to Mrs. Robertson by this Friday, December 19th! Make sure you get those in if you want your picture in the yearbook!

  • The lost & found can be found in the library. If you are missing anything, now is the time to check! Remember, any items left after winter break will be donated.

  • Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

📵 Classroom Phone Policy

  • Phones must be put away in the designated class holder at the beginning of the period and should not be taken out until the class is over.

  • Phones are not permitted for use during instructional time—period.

What Happens if the Policy is Violated?

  • 1st Time: Phone is immediately taken and held at the Main Office. You can pick it up yourself when school is dismissed.

  • 2nd Time: Phone is immediately taken. The Main Office will call your parent or guardian who must come to the school to collect it.

  • 3rd Time: Phone is immediately taken. Your parent or guardian must collect it. You will also be required to check your phone into the Main Office every morning and pick it up only after your last class for a period of time.

Parking Reminders:

🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing

  • 🅿️Designated Student Parking:

    • Seniors: East side of the main lot (between the median & Meadowbrook) & across the street

    • Juniors: Gravel lot across the street

    • Sophomores: behind the west side of the building & the gravel lot across the street

    • Freshmen: behind the west side of the building

    • NOTE: DO NOT PARK ON THE STAFF SIDE OF THE MAIN LOT, THIS INCLUDES EVERYTHING WEST OF THE MEDIAN
