The Cougar wrestling program had a weekend of phenomenal success! Congratulations to the Cougar Wrestlers, who captured the Guilford Invitational team title in Monticello! It was a total team effort as the Cougars amassed 175.5 points on their way to their first tournament win of the season. Medaling for the team were: Michael E (1st at 106), Ben E (2nd at 113), Zak W (2nd at 120), Crayton F (3rd at 126), Sam E (1st at 132), Linkan S (1st at 138), Ryder L (1st at 144), and Jase J (1st at 150). Great job, gentlemen! Keep climbing and Go Cougars! Not to be outdone, the Lady Cougar Wrestling team won the Warrior Duals Friday night at Central Elkader! The ladies battled hard and achieved a true, relentless team victory, ultimately winning via the tie-breaker criteria of most dual points earned. The Cougars went 3-1 in duals, defeating Benton (37-27), East Buchanan (42-30), and Central Elkader (46-24), with their only defeat coming against Anamosa (39-35). Highlights from the night included perfect 4-0 records from Braelyn S (110), along with 3-1 performances from Maleena S (105), Amelia V (115), Cate S (120/125), Kaydi C (130), Ella S (140), and Jamie J (155). The Lady Cougars take to the mat next on Tuesday, December 9th, at the WSR Go-Hawk Tournament, starting at 4:00 PM. Let's Go Cougs!

🎄Next week, let's dive into the holiday spirit with five days of festive fun! Kick off the week on Monday with Snooze & Slippers—wear your Christmas jammies or any regular PJs for a cozy start. Tuesday is North Pole Roll Call, where you can transform into your favorite character from a Christmas movie. On Wednesday, grab your sparkliest or tackiest gear for Sweater Weather Wednesday and wear your best ugly Christmas sweater! Things get creative on Thursday with Merry Sipmas: Anything But a Cup! Bring your drink in a fun, non-traditional container, but remember to keep your beverage volume under a half gallon. Finally, wrap up the week on Friday with Festive Friday—show off your favorite Christmas gear, including shirts, pants, socks, sweaters, and hats! Please ensure all clothing and props remain school appropriate.🧑🎄
