**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day. If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.

  • The Cougar Wrestlers started their 2025-2026 season with determination last night at Jesup. They fought hard in their first NICL duals of the year, splitting the night with a decisive win over AGWSR and a tough loss against the third-ranked Jesup squad. A special shout-out goes to Sam E and Landon W, who were both undefeated on the night! The team is ready to get back on the mat tomorrow for the Guilford Invitational in Monticello. Action starts bright and early at 10:00 AM, so be sure to send your support! Good luck and Go Cougars!

  • Get ready for an action-packed couple of days supporting our Cougar athletes! Tonight, our Cougar Bowling teams will be facing the Denver Cyclones at Thunder Lanes, starting at 4:00 PM. The Cougar Basketball teams travel to Denver, with the first game tipping off at 4:30 PM. Also tonight, the Girls Varsity Wrestling team takes to the mat at Central Elkader starting at 4:30 PM. The team and cheerleaders will need to be dismissed at 2:05. Then, tomorrow, the Boys Wrestling team heads to Monticello for a full day of tournament action, beginning at 10:00 AM. Come out and show your Cougar pride!

  • ⚽ Girls Interested in Soccer with Waverly-Shell Rock: If you are a high school girl interested in playing soccer with Waverly-Shell Rock, please check your email for a message from Mr. Quigley. That email contains a Google Form you must complete to be invited to their off-season meeting on December 14th. Attending this meeting is crucial as they will outline all expectations to ensure the sharing agreement is a good fit for you and your family.

  • Seniors, check your emails for an important message from Mrs. Herold about financial aid deadlines and scholarship information.

  • Did you miss the trap shooting meeting on Sunday? Don’t worry, The Turkey Valley/Sumner-Fredericksburg Trap Shooting Team is holding another registration meeting this Sunday, December 7th, 7:00, at Turkey Valley Schools. All first-time participants must bring their Hunter Education Certification to one of the meetings. Email tvtrapteam@gmail.com with any questions. 

  • The lost & found can be found in the library. If you are missing anything, now is the time to check! Remember, any items left after winter break will be donated.

  • 📸Senior Pictures are due to Mrs. Robertson by December 19th!

  • Don't forget that peer tutors are available to help you during Homebase! You can find them in Mrs. Brinkman's room Tuesdays through Fridays. Remember to always check in with your Homebase teacher before heading over.

Community Notices/Announcements

📵 Classroom Phone Policy

  • Phones must be put away in the designated class holder at the beginning of the period and should not be taken out until the class is over.

  • Phones are not permitted for use during instructional time—period.

What Happens if the Policy is Violated?

  • 1st Time: Phone is immediately taken and held at the Main Office. You can pick it up yourself when school is dismissed.

  • 2nd Time: Phone is immediately taken. The Main Office will call your parent or guardian who must come to the school to collect it.

  • 3rd Time: Phone is immediately taken. Your parent or guardian must collect it. You will also be required to check your phone into the Main Office every morning and pick it up only after your last class for a period of time.

Parking Reminders:

🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing

  • 🅿️Designated Student Parking:

    • Seniors: East side of the main lot (between the median & Meadowbrook) & across the street

    • Juniors: Gravel lot across the street

    • Sophomores: behind the west side of the building & the gravel lot across the street

    • Freshmen: behind the west side of the building

    • NOTE: DO NOT PARK ON THE STAFF SIDE OF THE MAIN LOT, THIS INCLUDES EVERYTHING WEST OF THE MEDIAN
