Today we celebrate National Special Education Day, commemorating the signing of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) which ensures that all children with disabilities have the right to a free, appropriate public education. We want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible Special Education team who work tirelessly every day to support our students. A special shout-out goes to our dedicated teachers: Mrs. Flexsenhar, Mr. Huegel, and Mr. Harrenstein, and our outstanding paraprofessionals: Miss Shiefelbein, Mrs. Pratt, Mrs. Dick, Ms. Corliss, and Mrs. Hulbert. Their commitment, compassion, and hard work make a profound difference in the lives of our students. We appreciate everything they do to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone in our school community!
