**🚌Please note that the activity shuttle providing transportation from the high school back to the middle school does not run every day. If you require a ride back to Fredericksburg after practices, be sure to check the weekly schedule. On the days the shuttle operates, it typically departs the high school at 5:30 PM. On all other days, students are responsible for securing their own transportation home.

  • 🎳Let’s wish Cougar athletics good luck tonight! The varsity bowling team travels to Independence to take on the Mustangs, with the match beginning at 3:30. They will be released from classes at 1:40 with a bus time of 1:50. Meanwhile, our boys basketball team faces the Decorah Vikings in their Achieve Scrimmage and food drive. Non-perishable food items or free-will donations will be accepted at the door. All donations will support our local food bank. JV tip-off is at 5:00. Go Cougars!🏀

  • 🕜Please note that tomorrow will be a two-hour early dismissal. We will be operating on an adjusted schedule for the day, and there will be no Homebase. All students with a.m. release must remember that you need to be in class by 8:36 AM (school time) or you will be marked tardy. You can find a copy of the schedule posted at the office or in your announcement email.

  • 🎂Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth and support a great cause! The annual Post Prom Cake Auction fundraiser is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd, in the SFHS Student Center during the basketball games. Come and bid on delicious, expertly decorated cakes generously donated by our community members and students. Bidding officially begins at 5:00 PM and ends during the third quarter of the boys' varsity game. All proceeds directly fund the Post Prom celebration, providing a safe and memorable evening for our prom goers. Bring your appetite and your wallets—let's help make this year's Post Prom the best one yet!

  • Attention Juniors & Seniors, please check your emails and fill out the google form asking for Post Prom prize ideas!!! The Post Prom Committee would love your input on what kinds of prizes you’d be excited to win after prom in April.

  • The Turkey Valley/Sumner-Fredericksburg Trap Shooting Team is holding registration meetings at 7 PM on Sunday, November 30th at Sumner-Fredericksburg High School and Sunday, December 7th at Turkey Valley Schools. All first-time participants must bring their Hunter Education Certification to one of the meetings. Email tvtrapteam@gmail.com with any questions. 

  • The lost & found can be found, temporarily, on a table outside the office. If you are missing anything, now is the time to check! Remember, any items left after winter break will be donated.

  • Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

  • 💻Please be sure you are checking your emails daily. You may be missing important information from your teachers and school administration.

  • Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

Community Notices/Announcements

📵 Classroom Phone Policy

  • Phones must be put away in the designated class holder at the beginning of the period and should not be taken out until the class is over.

  • Phones are not permitted for use during instructional time—period.

What Happens if the Policy is Violated?

  • 1st Time: Phone is immediately taken and held at the Main Office. You can pick it up yourself when school is dismissed.

  • 2nd Time: Phone is immediately taken. The Main Office will call your parent or guardian who must come to the school to collect it.

  • 3rd Time: Phone is immediately taken. Your parent or guardian must collect it. You will also be required to check your phone into the Main Office every morning and pick it up only after your last class for a period of time.

Parking Reminders:

🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing

  • 🅿️Designated Student Parking:

    • Seniors: East side of the main lot (between the median & Meadowbrook) & across the street

    • Juniors: Gravel lot across the street

    • Sophomores: behind the west side of the building & the gravel lot across the street

    • Freshmen: behind the west side of the building

    • NOTE: DO NOT PARK ON THE STAFF SIDE OF THE MAIN LOT, THIS INCLUDES EVERYTHING WEST OF THE MEDIAN
