The varsity volleyball team concluded their regular season with a strong showing at home last night in a Quad! The Cougars dominated the court, earning impressive sweeps against both Decorah and Wapsie Valley, winning both matches in two sets. They also fiercely battled the number two ranked Dike-New Hartford team, playing two incredibly close sets before ultimately falling short. What a fantastic way to finish the regular season! Now it's time to bring on the post-season! A huge shout-out and thank you goes to the amazing student section for all your support this year!
What a night for Cougar Cross Country at the NICL Conference meet in Oelwein! The varsity girls had an incredible performance, finishing a close second place, just three points shy of Dike-New Hartford. Congratulations to Sydney Z, Rain R, and Jaci S on varsity, as well as Brylee Uhlenhopp on JV, who all brought home hardware! Six of our runners earned conference honors: Sydney Z (1st team), Rain R (2nd team), Jaci S (2nd team), and honorable mentions for Brooklyn F, Braelyn S, and Zeek B. A huge shout-out for several personal records and season's best times, including PRs for Sydney Z, Addi F, and Natalie P! Way to run, Cougars! Come cheer on the varsity teams next Thursday at Starmont as they compete for a spot at State.
It's a huge night for Cougar sports! Cougar football travels to Union High School tonight to take on the Knights.
