Tonight is a big night for Cougar athletics! First, wish the Cross Country team good luck as they head to Oelwein for the NICL Conference Meet; the varsity races kick off this afternoon at 3:50 PM. Back here at home, the Varsity Volleyball team will be hosting a competitive quad tournament against Decorah, Dike-New Hartford, and Wapsie Valley, with games starting at 5:00 PM. Make sure to pack the stands and cheer them on—the fan theme for the night is Costume Out, so show your team spirit and wear your favorite school appropriate costume!
The girls’ gold gym locker room will be used for tonight’s volleyball games. Please have all your belongings picked up and your lockers locked before you leave today.
Tomorrow is the last day to express interest! Sign up for basketball, wrestling, bowling or cheer using the google form emailed to you or using the link in the announcement email. You must use your school email to fill out the form.
The University of Iowa will be in the library from 12-1 today. Due to the large number of students that attended this visit last year, you must sign up for a time to visit with the representative if you are interested this year. If you and a friend have similar questions & want to visit together, please add this as a comment to your sign up time. Please see Mrs. Herold with any questions.
There will be an FCCLA meeting in Mrs. Schilling’s room during homebase on Friday. Make sure your homebase teacher knows where you are.
Friday is the last day to turn in FBLA chapter dues!
Registration for Spring 2026 Hawkeye classes will be next Thursday, October 23rd at 9AM in the auditorium. If you have never taken a Hawkeye class before you NEED your social security number to create an account. You will also need your chromebooks. Please see the email from Mrs. Herold for more information.
Mr. McManus from Herff-Jones will be back next Wednesday during lunch. Seniors, even if you don’t order, please still fill out your name on the order sheet & write your height & weight on the back for graduation gown size.
Don't forget that peer tutors are available to help you during Homebase! You can find them in Mrs. Brinkman's room Tuesdays through Fridays. Remember to always check in with your Homebase teacher before heading over.
The Tri-County Sportsplex is looking for volunteers Saturday, October 25th, to help with their fundraising dinner following the Family UTV Ride. Lend a hand at The Legion Hall anytime between 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM to help serve the meal and clean up afterward. No need to sign up—just show up at The Legion when you can. Any time you're able to help out, whether it's 30 minutes or the whole evening, makes a difference! Come support the Sportsplex! This is an opportunity to earn silver cord hours!

Parking Reminders:
🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.
All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.
Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.
No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing

Juniors: Gravel lot across the street
Sophomores: behind the west side of the building & the gravel lot across the street
