They finished just behind a dominant Waukon team and ahead of a very strong Jesup team. This impressive showing keeps our varsity girls ranked 5th in 1A! Special congratulations to our medalists: Sydney Z placed 8th, Jaci S took 11th, and Rain R finished 12th. A big thank you to the volleyball team for showing up to cheer on our runners—your support made a difference! Cross Country will be back in action next Tuesday at Starmont.

  • Congratulations to Shane W on his 7th place individual award at the TriState Dairy Cattle Judging competition yesterday! The team of Shane, Kolton K & Ely S placed two heifer classes, two cow classes, gave oral reasons and then took a knowledge exam at the Northeast Iowa Dairy Center in Calmar.

  • Hey, Cougars! Come out tonight to support our football team as they take on the North Fayette Valley Tigerhawks at home. Kickoff is at 7 pm, and we want to see the stands filled with a wave of YELLOW to show our support for Trypp! Don't forget, the Cougar Betterment Foundation is serving a meal before the game for $10. They'll also be passing the helmet for donations for Trypp & his family. Let's pack the stands, grab some food, and show our support for Trypp and the team!

  • Hat Days for Trypp Roszell

Let's rally together to support a member of our Cougar family! Trypp Roszell, a 2025 graduate, is currently undergoing cancer treatment. To help with the costs of his trips for treatment—including transportation, meals, and hotels—we're holding a special fundraiser.

From Monday, September 15 through Friday, September 19, you can pay $2 to wear a hat or other headwear at school. All proceeds will go directly to Trypp and his family.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • To participate, you must check in and pay by the main office each day to get a colored dot sticker for your hat.

  • Keep the sticker on your hat or headwear for the entire school day. Teachers can ask you to take it off if you don’t have the dot.

  • All hats and headwear must be school-appropriate.

Let's show Trypp the full support of his Cougar family!
