  • Great win for the SF Cougar Volleyball team last night! They swept #11 ranked Wapsie Valley in three sets, with final scores of 25-23, 25-19, and 28-26. Congrats, ladies!

  • Mr. Koch’s homebase should report to Mrs. Schilling’s room today. The rest of his afternoon classes should report to the library. 

  • ATTENTION, juniors and seniors: The regular registration deadline for the October ACT is this Friday, September 12. Head over to act.org to sign up.

  • Yesterday, I sent out a survey about a protein pack lunch option. Please take a minute to fill it out if you haven’t already.

  • Large Group and Individual Speech Meeting: Calling all students interested in Large Group or Individual Speech! We're having a meeting with the coaches next Wednesday, September 17th, during homebase in the auditorium. Come learn about the different speech events and what it's like to be part of the team. If you can't make it, please email Mrs. Priebe as soon as possible.

  • Today is the last day to order! Show your Cougar pride and support the Class of 2027! The Class of 2027 is selling Cougar Wear to help fund their prom and graduation. Orders will arrive by October 3rd for Homecoming.

  • Parking passes from last school year are no longer valid. If you drive to school, you must register for a new parking permit. Please fill out the Google Form that was emailed to you last week or use the link in today's announcement email. Once your registration is approved, you will receive your new permit. Vehicles without a new parking permit will be ticketed. All permits must be returned at the end of the school year to avoid a fee.

  • Hey seniors!

Just a reminder about two important things:

  1. Diploma Information: Please fill out the Google Form that was sent to you last week. Double-check the spelling and punctuation, and feel free to ask questions or have your parents help you.

  2. Homecoming Royalty: Let Mrs. Schilling know by Thursday if you do not want your name on the ballot for homecoming royalty.

  • 🧼Help keep our school healthy! Remember to wash your hands with soap and water throughout the day. It's the best way to fight germs and keep yourself and your classmates from getting sick.🫧

  • From Mrs. Dillon: My sincerest thank you to every single person who wished me a happy birthday! From the genuine wishes to the singing, each interaction with my students and colleagues was appreciated. Remember that a simple smile and kind words can make someone's day. Thanks for being a part of my day.

  • Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

  • 💻Please be sure you are checking your emails daily. You may be missing important information from your teachers and school administration.

  • Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

Community Notices/Announcements

Parking Reminders:

🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.

  • Sophomore/Freshman lot-Northwest side of the building

  • Junior/Senior lot-South lot across the street

  • Senior lot-East side of the median on the east side of the building

    • NO PARKING EAST OF THE BLUE GYM, INCLUDING THE CURB BY THE GOLF COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
