Just a reminder that all students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit to park on school grounds. If you have not yet registered, please fill out the Google Form that was emailed to you last week. You can also find a link to the form in today's announcement email. Once your registration is approved, you will be issued a new permit to hang from your rearview mirror. All permits must be returned at the end of the school year to avoid a fee. If you still have a parking pass from last year, please throw it away and fill out the new form.

‼️Important Reminder: Student Parking Rules

This is a friendly reminder about our school's student parking rules. Parking on campus is a privilege, and we need your cooperation to keep our lots safe and organized for everyone.

Students are not allowed to park in these areas:

The area east of the Blue Gym
Along the curb near the golf course
Staff/Visitor parking area (west/school side of the median, including along the median)
Areas marked with yellow no-parking lines/paint
The Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club

Violations and Consequences

Parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club may result in your vehicle being ticketed or towed by the city. Violations on school grounds will follow a progressive fine schedule:

First violation: Warning
Second violation: $5 fine
Third violation: $10 fine
Fourth violation: Revocation of your on-campus parking privileges

When arriving for before-school activities, please remember that many staff members also arrive early. Be sure to park only in designated student areas to leave the staff section open.

Today is the last day to make schedule changes. If you need any changes made, email Mr. Eckelman at eckelmana@sfcougars.k12.ia.us and he will find you when he’s available.

🎓Hey Class of 2026, a quick reminder to complete the Senior Spotlight Google Form. Mrs. Robertson sent it out on August 26, and it needs to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 3. Thanks!

🎄Lights in the Park meeting in Mrs. Price’s room on Friday, August 29, during homebase. Please check in with your homebase teacher before going.

🍦FCCLA is hosting an ice cream social at 6 PM on Thursday in Mrs. Schilling’s room. All students are welcome to join and learn more about FCCLA!

🐾Student Senate Members, there will be a Student Senate meeting in Mrs. Schilling’s room during homebase on Friday. Remember to check in with your homebase teacher before you go.

Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

💻Please be sure you are checking your emails daily. You may be missing important information from your teachers and school administration.

Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

Parking Reminders:

🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Four or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permits are available at the high school office after filling out the google form for vehicle registration.
Sophomore/Freshman lot-Northwest side of the building
Junior/Senior lot-South lot across the street
Senior lot-East side of the median on the east side of the building
- NO PARKING EAST OF THE BLUE GYM, INCLUDING THE CURB BY THE GOLF COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.
No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
