The Sumner-Fredericksburg track teams delivered some strong performances at the Conference meet in Jesup last night! For the girls, Braelyn S blazed to a 1st place finish in the 200 Meters. The 4x200 Relay team earned a solid 3rd place, while Cami J took 5th in the 100 Meters, and the Sprint Medley Relay also finished in 5th. Rounding out the girls' top finishes were the 4x100 and 4x800 Relays, and Kendall S in the 1500 Meters, all placing 6th. Jamie J secured 7th in the Discus, and Saela S finished 8th in the 200 Meters, with Jaci S also taking 8th in the 1500 Meters. On the boys' side, Gavin T powered his way to a 1st place victory in the Shot Put. The 4x400 Relay team ran to a 3rd place finish, and the 4x200 Relay took 4th. The Sprint Medley Relay finished in 6th place. Paxton F placed 7th in the Discus, and Kallen W followed in 8th in the Discus, with Tate R also finishing 8th in the 800 Meters. Congratulations to all of our athletes on their efforts!
Congrats to Braelyn S as she broke the school record in the 200 meters last night with a time of 26.04. The previous record was held by Krayton Allen with a time of 21.17 in 2018. Congrats to Gavin T as he broke his own school record in the Shot Put with a toss of 53'01.25" Congrats to both athletes.
Reminder: The gold gym is closed today for art show set up; NO ONE IS ALLOWED IN THE GOLD GYM
Seniors, check your email for two important emails from Tia. Both forms need to be filled out by next Wednesday, May 14th at the end of the day.
Wrestling meeting today: There will be a wrestling meeting today during homebase in the auditorium to share the summer schedule. Please check in with your homebase teachers and wait until after student elections are complete.
Football Cheer Meeting: If you signed up or are interested in doing football cheer next fall, there will be a meeting Thursday, May 15 at 3:40 PM in the student center.
✏️Do you have extra school supplies that you don't need for next year? Ms. Hoeger is collecting donations of used school supplies. This includes folders, binders, pencils, half used notebooks and more! Drop off any supplies in room 108. These materials will be redistributed to students and staff next school year.✂️
All library books must be returned by Monday, May 12th. Inventory will begin May 14th. Seniors, all library books must be returned or fees will be added to your account and must be paid before graduation or you will not be allowed to walk at commencement!
🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Three or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.
Driver’s Education Courses: Students interested in taking Driver's Ed may register through Homesafe Driving School LLC for spring classes. At the top of the website, go to "Classes" and you can see winter options for classes in Waverly or if you scroll down, you'll see an option for May 14th in Sumner.🚗
Hawkeye Community College is offering driver’s ed. An informational flier can be found at the office.
Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

🤖Exciting Summer Opportunity!!! Hawkeye Community College's Automation and Robotic Center has an exciting opportunity for your high school student this summer. We will be holding an IGNITE Summer Course. This program is especially designed for students that are interested in technology and a potential career in manufacturing. IGNITE is geared to introduce Industry 4.0 skills to students serving as a stepping stone to higher-level skills needed to support the needs of local and national industries. The camp runs from June 16 to August 14. Meeting Monday through Thursday 8:30 to 11:00. Here's the great news, registration only costs $99 for the entire summer!

Fayette Co. Fair Queen: Applications for Fayette Co. Fair Queen are now open until June 30th. You do not need to be a resident of Fayette County to run. Candidates must be between 16 and 21 years old as of August 7, 2025. This is a wonderful scholarship opportunity. Please see the attached flier for more information.

All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permit applications are available in the office. If you get a different vehicle, you need to update your parking permit.
