  •  In exciting news from last night's competition at Nashua-Plainfield, the SF Girls track team demonstrated incredible talent and teamwork, finishing strong in 4th place out of 16 competing teams. We extend a huge congratulations to the following athletes for their outstanding performances: claiming 1st place were the 4x800 Relay team of Jaci S, Madalyn V, Kendall S, and Ella P, as well as the 4x200 Relay team of Cami J, Livy S, Saela S, and Braelyn S. Adding to their achievements, Cami also secured 2nd place in the 200 Meters, and the 4x100 Relay team, comprised of Cami J, Livy S, Saela S, and Braelyn S, earned a well-deserved 3rd place. Let's give a big round of applause to all the SF Girls for their hard work and dedication!

  • Juniors, please check your emails and complete the Google Form recently sent out by Ms. Sadler. Prom is tomorrow, and we're counting on you to help bring the magic to life! Your class officers have been working hard planning an unforgettable night, and now it's time for us to come together and make it happen. As this is a junior class fundraiser, we're expecting all juniors to participate in some way – and we promise, it's actually a lot of fun! Please take a moment to complete the Google Form so we can get organized. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Ms. Sadler. Let's work together to make this year's prom the best one yet!

  • All library books must be returned by Monday, May 12th. Inventory will begin May 14th. Seniors, all library books must be returned or fees will be added to your account and must be paid before graduation or you will not be allowed to walk at commencement!

  • Hope Week: Help celebrate Hope Week next week (April 28-May 2) with fun activities and dress up days! Check your email for more information.

  • 🪩💃As prom night is tomorrow – We're all getting excited for a fantastic evening of fun, friends, and memories. To ensure everyone has a truly wonderful and safe time, we wanted to share a few important reminders. Make smart choices regarding food and beverages. Remember that school rules and expectations regarding substance use apply at prom and any related events. We want this to be a night you'll remember for all the right reasons. By being mindful of your safety and looking out for each other, we can all contribute to a positive and memorable prom experience. Get ready to have an amazing time tomorrow! We can't wait to celebrate with you! Have fun & make good choices!🕺🎲

  • 🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Three or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • Driver’s Education Courses: Students interested in taking Driver's Ed may register through Homesafe Driving School LLC for spring classes. At the top of the website, go to "Classes" and you can see winter options for classes in Waverly or if you scroll down, you'll see an option for May 14th in Sumner.🚗

  • Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

  • 💻Please be sure you are checking your emails daily. You may be missing important information from your teachers and school administration.

  • Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

  • Fayette Co. Fair Queen: Applications for Fayette Co. Fair Queen are now open until June 30th. You do not need to be a resident of Fayette County to run. Candidates must be between 16 and 21 years old as of August 7, 2025. This is a wonderful scholarship opportunity. Please see the attached flier for more information.

  • Applications to run for Miss Fredericksburg are now open and are due May 5th. You must be 16 years old by August 1, 2025 and have a Fredericksburg address. The position comes with a $750 scholarship. Contact Marie with any questions. 319-240-4929

  • Fun in the Son Daycare in Fredericksburg is looking for help after school and on no school days. Apply at Fun in the Son.

  • Chickasaw County Fair Queen Applications are due April 30th. This is a scholarship opportunity for both the winner and runner up.

  • Lifeguards Wanted:Sumner Family Aquatic Center is looking for lifeguards! 

    • Training reimbursement! Training dates are available to choose from (but act quickly before they are no longer available)

    • You must be at least 15 years of age

    • Current guards can receive a referral bonus if their referral is hired!

Parking Reminders:

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permit applications are available in the office. If you get a different vehicle, you need to update your parking permit.

  • Sophomore/Freshman lot-Northwest side of the building

  • Junior/Senior lot-South lot across the street

  • Senior lot-East side of the median on the east side of the building

    • NO PARKING EAST OF THE BLUE GYM, INCLUDING THE CURB BY THE GOLF COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
