  • The trap team had a fantastic showing at Saturday's invite hosted by New Hampton! We want to give a big congratulations to Hunter N, Will D, and Lincoln H for each shooting a 25! Awesome shooting! The Orange Squad, consisting of Boden T, Wade P, Hunter N, Lincoln H, and Will D, had an impressive performance, tying for 2nd place with two other squads. After a hard-fought shoot-off, they ultimately placed 4th. Congratulations to the entire Orange Squad!

  • The Cougar Girls Track and Field team delivered a strong performance at the Hudson Relays on Monday night, securing 6th place overall out of 16 teams. Leading the way with first-place finishes were Brealyn S in the 200 Meters and the 4x200 Meter Relay team (Judisch, Schoonover, Steege, and B. Suckow.) Adding to the team's success, the 4x800 Meter Relay team (Snyder, Zupke, K. Suckow, and Pitz), and the 4x100 Meter Relay team (Judisch, Schoonover, Steege, and B. Suckow) both earned impressive 4th-place finishes. Congratulations to all the athletes on their outstanding efforts!

  • Freshmen, your 4 year plans are due back to Mrs. Herold by the end of the day TODAY!

  • Seniors, your release of liability for the W for your trip tomorrow is due TODAY!

  • Juniors check your emails and complete the google form sent out by Ms. Sadler. Prom is almost here, and we need YOU to help bring the magic to life! Your class officers have been working hard behind the scenes, and now it’s time to turn those plans into reality. This is a junior class fundraiser, so all juniors are expected to help in some way—plus, it’s actually a ton of fun. Please complete the google form and reach out to Ms. Sadler with questions. 

  • Out of Town Guest forms: If you plan to bring an out-of-town guest to prom, please remember that you must obtain and complete an out-of-town guest form. These forms are available at the office. All completed out-of-town guest forms must be returned to Ms. Sadler by Wednesday, April 23rd. Late forms will not be accepted. 

  • Post prom sign-up comes in 2 parts: Both parts must be completed TODAY!

    • Google Form-must be submitted by April 22. 

    • Permission form- must be submitted by April 22. Each person attending must have a form filled out and returned by the deadline regardless of age. If you are bringing a guest, they must have a form as well.

  • ATTENTION JUNIORS & SOPHOMORES: Please check your school email for a message from Ms. Sadler regarding Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities. If you're interested in participating in WBL next year, you must complete the survey linked in that email. Don’t miss out on this chance to explore careers and gain real-world experience!  

  • 🏐If you are interested in playing volleyball in the fall, please check your email for a sign-up form. Form must be completed by April 23 at 3 PM.

  • 🚫Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Three or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • Driver’s Education Courses: Students interested in taking Driver's Ed may register through Homesafe Driving School LLC for spring classes. At the top of the website, go to "Classes" and you can see winter options for classes in Waverly or if you scroll down, you'll see an option for May 14th in Sumner.🚗

  • Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

  • 💻Please be sure you are checking your emails daily. You may be missing important information from your teachers and school administration.

  • Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

  • Tanning Packages available for Prom & Graduation: Contact Liz Peters at 319-243-5903, 404 Birch Drive Fredericksburg

  • Fayette Co. Fair Queen: Applications for Fayette Co. Fair Queen are now open until June 30th. You do not need to be a resident of Fayette County to run. Candidates must be between 16 and 21 years old as of August 7, 2025. This is a wonderful scholarship opportunity. Please see the attached flier for more information.

  • Applications to run for Miss Fredericksburg are now open and are due May 5th. You must be 16 years old by August 1, 2025 and have a Fredericksburg address. The position comes with a $750 scholarship. Contact Marie with any questions. 319-240-4929

  • Fun in the Son Daycare in Fredericksburg is looking for help after school and on no school days. Apply at Fun in the Son.

  • Chickasaw County Fair Queen Applications are due April 30th. This is a scholarship opportunity for both the winner and runner up.

  • Lifeguards Wanted:Sumner Family Aquatic Center is looking for lifeguards! 

    • Training reimbursement! Training dates are available to choose from (but act quickly before they are no longer available)

    • You must be at least 15 years of age

    • Current guards can receive a referral bonus if their referral is hired!

Parking Reminders:

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permit applications are available in the office. If you get a different vehicle, you need to update your parking permit.

  • Sophomore/Freshman lot-Northwest side of the building

  • Junior/Senior lot-South lot across the street

  • Senior lot-East side of the median on the east side of the building

    • NO PARKING EAST OF THE BLUE GYM, INCLUDING THE CURB BY THE GOLF COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
