Congratulations to the FBLA chapter members for outstanding performance at the State Leadership Conference! Leah R placed 1st and 3rd for her Future Business Leader testing and presentation and Lily U placed 4th for her Electronic Career Portfolio. Both are qualified to advance to the National competition in Anaheim, California, this summer. Way to represent our school!!!

Get ready to dance the night away! Prom will be held on Saturday, April 26th. If you plan to bring an out-of-town guest, please remember that you must obtain and complete an out-of-town guest form. These forms are available at the office. All completed out-of-town guest forms must be returned to Ms. Sadler by Wednesday, April 23rd. Late forms will not be accepted. Prospective and future Hawkeye Community College students: Hawkeye representatives will be in the library next Tuesday, April 8th, from 12:00-1:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to learn about available resources and opportunities. Don't miss out!
Seniors: Check your school email for an important message from your class president regarding graduation and your class trip. Your response is required.
Hope Squad: Relay for Hope-All students who are participating in the Hope Squad Relay for Hope will be meeting in the auditorium during homebase on Friday. If you have agreed to be on a relay team, you should attend this meeting.
FBLA leadership applications are out and can be picked up in Ms. Sadler’s room. They are due today by the end of the day.
Attention Seniors: Graduation gown measurements will take place next week, April 8th through 11th during homebase. Please bring the shoes you plan to wear for commencement. Measurements will be conducted by homebase, as follows: Tuesday, Sadler's homebase; Wednesday, Leete's homebase; Thursday, Dillon's homebase; and Friday, Bolte's homebase. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Bolte.
Fayette Co. Fair Queen: Applications for Fayette Co. Fair Queen are now open until June 30th. You do not need to be a resident of Fayette County to run. Candidates must be between 16 and 21 years old as of August 7, 2025. This is a wonderful scholarship opportunity. Please see the attached flier for more information.
Fall Cheer: If you are interested in Fall Cheer for the 25-26 school year, you can sign up using the attached form or check your emails for a link. There will be an informational meeting sometime in April.
đźš«Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Three or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.
Driver’s Education Courses: Students interested in taking Driver's Ed may register through Homesafe Driving School LLC for spring classes. At the top of the website, go to "Classes" and you can see winter options for classes in Waverly or if you scroll down, you'll see an option for May 14th in Sumner.🚗
Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

Get ready to roll into fun with the Sumner Youth Bowling Program!
What: Learn the fundamentals of bowling, improve your skills, and have a blast!
Where: Thunder Lanes, Sumner
When: Starting Sunday, March 30th, for 6 weeks!
Time: 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM each day
Cost: Only $7 per week!
This program is open to all students in grades K-12, and anyone who wants to have fun and get better at bowling. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!
Lifeguards Wanted:Sumner Family Aquatic Center is looking for lifeguards!
Training reimbursement! Training dates are available to choose from (but act quickly before they are no longer available)
You must be at least 15 years of age

All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permit applications are available in the office. If you get a different vehicle, you need to update your parking permit.

Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.
