  • FBLA meeting during homebase today. 

  • FBLA leadership applications are out and can be picked up in Ms. Sadler’s room. They are due back by next Friday, April 4, by the end of the day.

  • Mr. Koch’s homebase will need to report to Mrs. Price’s room and his 7th & 8th period classes need to report to the library today.

  • Applications to run for Miss Fredericksburg are now open and are due May 5th. You must be 16 years old by August 1, 2025 and have a Fredericksburg address. The position comes with a $750 scholarship. Contact Marie with any questions. 319-240-4929

  • Everlasting Home Healthcare, L.L.C. is looking to hire someone 16 or older to do respite care for a child on the ID wavier located in Sumner.  Contact Melissa Nickerson-Bergmann if you are interested. 319-939-9717

  • Fall Cheer: If you are interested in Fall Cheer for the 25-26 school year, you can sign up using the attached form or check your emails for a link. There will be an informational meeting sometime in April.

  • Get ready to roll into fun with the Sumner Youth Bowling Program!

    • What: Learn the fundamentals of bowling, improve your skills, and have a blast!

    • Where: Thunder Lanes, Sumner

    • When: Starting Sunday, March 30th, for 6 weeks!

    • Time: 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM each day

    • Cost: Only $7 per week!

    • This program is open to all students in grades K-12, and anyone who wants to have fun and get better at bowling. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!

  • đźš«Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Three or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • Driver’s Education Courses: Students interested in taking Driver's Ed may register through Homesafe Driving School LLC for spring classes. At the top of the website, go to "Classes" and you can see winter options for classes in Waverly or if you scroll down, you'll see an option for May 14th in Sumner.đźš—

  • Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

  • đź’»Please be sure you are checking your emails daily. You may be missing important information from your teachers and school administration.

  • Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

  • Fun in the Son Daycare in Fredericksburg is looking for help after school and on no school days. Apply at Fun in the Son.

  • Chickasaw County Fair Queen Applications are due April 30th. This is a scholarship opportunity for both the winner and runner up

  • Lifeguards Wanted:Sumner Family Aquatic Center is looking for lifeguards! 

    • Training reimbursement! Training dates are available to choose from (but act quickly before they are no longer available)

    • You must be at least 15 years of age

    • Current guards can receive a referral bonus if their referral is hired!

Parking Reminders:

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permit applications are available in the office. If you get a different vehicle, you need to update your parking permit.

  • Sophomore/Freshman lot-Northwest side of the building

  • Junior/Senior lot-South lot across the street

  • Senior lot-East side of the median on the east side of the building

    • NO PARKING EAST OF THE BLUE GYM, INCLUDING THE CURB BY THE GOLF COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
