  • Congratulations to the FCCLA chapter members for their outstanding performance at the State Leadership Conference! The chapter earned a gold level honor banner, a first for Sumner-Fredericksburg. Individually, Keeley M, Addison M, Allison M, Sydney W, Gracie B, and Kalena Q received Awards of Excellence in Peer Education, while Gracie B earned 1st place in Creed Speaking and Interpretation, Lily U took 2nd in the $20 Clothing Challenge, and Ellie S received 3rd in Fashion Sketch. Cece S earned Silver in Chapter in Review: Display, and Gracie B and Kalena Q achieved Gold in Professional Presentation. Notably, Emma G (Interior Design Level 2), Ellie S and Lily U (Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation), and Deanna B, Megan B, and Avery W (Interior Design Level 3) all received Gold awards, qualifying them to advance to the National competition in Orlando, Florida this summer. Way to represent our school!!!

  • Fall Cheer: If you are interested in Fall Cheer for the 25-26 school year, you can sign up using the attached form or check your emails for a link. There will be an informational meeting sometime in April.

  • 🩸The blood drive will be held in the gold gym today from 12:30-6:00.  Donors are reminded to bring a photo ID and your signed parent permission form if you are under 18 and haven’t already turned it in to Mrs. Brinkman.  Before donating, donors are encouraged to eat a good breakfast and lunch and drink plenty of water.  If you haven't already turned in your signed form to miss class please get that to Mrs. Brinkman as soon as possible.

  • Get ready to roll into fun with the Sumner Youth Bowling Program!

    • What: Learn the fundamentals of bowling, improve your skills, and have a blast!

    • Where: Thunder Lanes, Sumner

    • When: Starting Sunday, March 30th, for 6 weeks!

    • Time: 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM each day

    • Cost: Only $7 per week!

    • This program is open to all students in grades K-12, and anyone who wants to have fun and get better at bowling. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!

  • đźš«Attention students: Parking enforcement is now in effect. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and fines will be added to your school fees. All outstanding fees must be paid by the end of the school year to participate in graduation. Three or more parking violations will result in the loss of on-campus parking privileges.

  • Driver’s Education Courses: Students interested in taking Driver's Ed may register through Homesafe Driving School LLC for spring classes. At the top of the website, go to "Classes" and you can see winter options for classes in Waverly or if you scroll down, you'll see an option for May 14th in Sumner.đźš—

  • Homebase Reminder: Check in with your homebase teacher before going to Cougar Time or any other homebase activities. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

  • đź’»Please be sure you are checking your emails daily. You may be missing important information from your teachers and school administration.

  • Energy Drinks: A reminder that our school's health and wellness policy limits caffeine in beverages to 100mg. Please avoid bringing drinks exceeding this limit to school. These drinks include 12oz. Alani Energy (200mg), 16oz. Monster Energy(160mg), 12oz. Celsius(200+mg), and similar products. READ THE LABELS!

  • Fun in the Son Daycare in Fredericksburg is looking for help after school and on no school days. Apply at Fun in the Son.

  • The Fredericksburg Pool is hiring lifeguards for the 2025 season. Please email Misty Prosser at fburgparkandrec@gmail.com with questions. A local certification class is being held March 21-23.

  • Chickasaw County Fair Queen Applications are due April 30th. This is a scholarship opportunity for both the winner and runner up

  • Lifeguards Wanted:Sumner Family Aquatic Center is looking for lifeguards! 

    • Training reimbursement! Training dates are available to choose from (but act quickly before they are no longer available)

    • You must be at least 15 years of age

    • Current guards can receive a referral bonus if their referral is hired!

Parking Reminders:

  • All students who drive to school must have a visible parking permit in any vehicle they might drive to school. Parking permit applications are available in the office. If you get a different vehicle, you need to update your parking permit.

  • Sophomore/Freshman lot-Northwest side of the building

  • Junior/Senior lot-South lot across the street

  • Senior lot-East side of the median on the east side of the building

    • NO PARKING EAST OF THE BLUE GYM, INCLUDING THE CURB BY THE GOLF COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Students caught parking in the staff parking or in a no-parking zone will be fined; 1st violation=$5, 2nd violation=$10, 3rd violation=On-school grounds parking privileges revoked.

  • No parking at Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Violators are subject to ticketing/towing
