Hey everyone! Did you know that you have the power to make a real difference and shine at graduation? That's right! We're talking about the Silver Cord Program! Imagine walking across that stage, not just with your diploma, but also with a gleaming silver cord, a symbol of your dedication and service to our community.

Here's the scoop:

  • You can start racking up those volunteer hours right from FRESHMAN year! Don't wait, jump in and make a difference now.

  • Any approved and supervised volunteer work counts! Think helping at the local food bank, tutoring younger students, volunteering at community events – the possibilities are endless!

  • It's super easy to track your hours. Just grab a simple form from the office, get it signed, and you're good to go!

  • Aim for the magic number: 100 hours. That's all it takes to earn your well-deserved silver cord.

Why should you care?

  • Make a real impact: You'll be contributing to something bigger than yourself and making our community a better place.

  • Build your resume: Colleges and employers love to see volunteer experience.

  • Develop valuable skills: You'll gain teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

  • And, of course, earn that awesome silver cord!

Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity! Stop by the office today to pick up your volunteer hour tracking form and start your journey towards earning your silver cord. Let's make a difference together!

  • Lost & Found: Lost and found clearance! All items go to Goodwill after conferences tonight. Please check now!

  • No Parking Zones: Hey everyone! With the snow melting, those "no parking" zones (marked by yellow lines) are popping back into view. Just a friendly heads-up: make sure your cars are clear of these areas, or you might have to move them and possibly pay a fine. Also, remember that Meadowbrook is private property, so please don't park there. Your car could get ticketed or even towed! Let's keep things smooth and avoid any parking headaches.

  • Winter sports senior banners have been taken down and are available outside the office.

  • Looking for leadership experience, job skills, or opportunities for advancement? The US Army can help you get there! Visit their table in the lunchroom next week (TBD)to explore the many benefits of military service.
