Fredericksburg Elementary had a special dismissal today in honor of Veterans Day! Some of our local veterans greeted students as they left for the day, handing out treats and flags to each one.
Thank you to our veterans for your service and for making this day extra special for the kids!

The Book Fair is happening this week at Fredericksburg Elementary and Durant Elementary!
The Fair encourages students to read AND raises much-needed funds for our school. The easiest way for kids to shop the Fair is by creating and funding your child’s eWallet. No more worrying about cash, and their balances show right on the register. Visit our book fair homepage to get started:

February is Reading is Fun Month at FES. This year's theme is "Be Powerful...READ!" The goal is to read 120,000 minutes this month. Teachers will keep track of minutes read at school, and students and parents will keep track of minutes that are read at home. The Parent Note and Week 1 Reading Slip were sent home on Friday. The class that reads the most each week will get the Traveling Trophy. If we meet our goal, 3rd and 4th graders who return all 4 slips will get to go bowling. K-2 will have a reading party at the school. Students who are responsible and return their slips will also get a special prize bag donated by The Women of Fredericksburg. We look forward to our students showing responsibility in the month of February!
