kids singing

The time is (believe it or not!) approaching for our annual Elementary Christmas Music program.  Our performance this year will begin with the Pre-school presentation, followed by 5 songs presented by Kindergarten and 1st grade, leading up to the main event, “Elflandia” presented by 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade.  Our program will be no more than 30 minutes.

This year’s program will take place on the Middle School Gymnasium stage at 5:30 pm on Monday, December 8th.  We ask that when you attend, you not leave the performance until all segments of the show have completed.  Students can be dropped off at the middle school no earlier than 5:00pm.

The Middle School (5-8) music concert to follow.

Students will meet in the following rooms:

Pre-school in Mr. Schmitt’s room

Kindergarten Middle School Choir room

1st grade in Mr. Crawford’s room

2nd grade in Mr. Sorenson’s room

3rd grade in Mrs. Rucker’s Science lab

4th grade in the MS Band room

Costumes for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade will be provided this year out of our school’s costume materials. If you have already provided an elf costume or plan to for your student, this is absolutely welcome and encouraged, as our costume materials are limited.

Attire for Kindergarten and 1st grade should be nice Christmas clothing.  If you wish to get into the holiday spirit a good ugly sweater makes a great photo op!

Questions concerning the pre-school program should be directed to Mrs. Schmitt.  She will begin the PreK performance at 5:20pm this year.  Pre-school students may be picked up immediately following their performance.

It should be noted that for immediate responses to questions and concerns, the front office is not the best contact.  Rather, you may direct any questions or requests for further information directly to me, Mark Jurgenson, at jurgensonm@sfcougars.k12.ia.us
