KA students have had a fun-filled week so far! Thank you to our high school FCS class for making our Kindergarten students a replica of the monsters they drew earlier in the year! Mrs. Ciesielski's class is also working on a science experiment which is all about pushes and pulls!

More pictures of Durant Super Cougars for the month of April!

Another busy and fun week for Durant students! During our April ENCORE, we played a review game all of the pillars we learned about throughout the year, revealed the cougar den winner for this month, and recognized this month's Super Cougars! We also delivered May Day baskets to the high school students and celebrated School Lunch Hero Day! Thank you to all of our lunch ladies for all you do in the kitchen to make sure everyone gets fed!

During Ag Safety Day, Durant students learned about a variety of topics related to safety. Some of the topics included bees, internet safety, tractor and lawnmower safety, and we also learned about floral agriculture and sheep. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to come present to our students!

Last week, Durant KB students wrote about their favorite book that they read this year. Then, they walked down to the preschool room to share their drawings and read to the preschool students!

To practice our citizenship pillar we’re learning about this month, students at Durant picked up garbage around our school community. 1B students walked to the high school basketball court and filled their bag with garbage along the way!

Durant showered Mrs. T with a book-themed potluck! We want to tell her thanks for all she does to incorporate engaging literacy-based activities for our students! Happy Librarian’s Day (a day early) Mrs. Throckmorton!

Happy Paraprofessional Day! Thank you to Durant paras for all you do for our students and our school. We are lucky to have you and hope you enjoyed your duty-free day!

More valentine fun from Durant! Musical chairs and classroom party fun! Also, a big thank you to the high school Hope Squad students who helped greet students for High Five Friday!

Durant students made Valentine cards for their reading buddies and exchanged them today! Students have enjoyed getting to know their buddy and reading with them throughout the school year!

Another fun and busy week for Durant students! On Wednesday, we celebrated the 100th day of school! Last night, Preschool held their annual family event last night. Families were invited to a Valentine Date Night! They took photos at our Photo Booth, created a Valentine for a loved one and mailed it. Each student chose who to send their valentine to and when that person gets it, they can email a picture to the teacher to show they received it!
