Throughout my life, I have always felt the urge to make an impact on the world around me.  After some consideration, I realized that teaching was the best way I could achieve my goal.  During college and in my first few teaching experiences, I realized how essential a well-rounded education should include: social skills, work ethic, knowledge and accessibility of technology, teamwork, standards and research-based curriculum.  Each student's spirit and love of learning makes the world of teaching an exciting one.  But above all, I love that particular look of satisfaction when a child has mastered a task that had previously proved to be a difficult one for them.  That look is priceless and makes me feel like I made a difference in their life through effective and meaningful teaching.
