My name is Carly Schmitt and I teach 4-year-old preschool at FES. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, being outside, and watching sports.

BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa.
Daily Schedule
Arrival/Free play
-Students will play at buckets set out for them in the morning. These include different manipulatives for them to play with and work on their fine motor skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills.
Large Group meeting
This includes a variety of songs with music and movement, our calendar time, read-aloud time, letter focus, math skills, and rules of language skills.

*Calendar time with counting, numeral identification, patterning

*Weekly letter focus
Table activity
-Our table activities have a math or literacy focus.
Interest Areas
-Students will play at the different interest areas throughout the classroom.
Clean up and Snack
-Students will have large group snack time together.
Outdoor play
-Students will have outdoor time to focus on gross motor skills.
